“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“I always love coming here & frequently do when I want a good hearty meal or bringing friends. We are always kindly greeted & welcomed when arriving. It smells wonderful & makes us more hungry! We are served a cup of soup (gratis) with every meal including breakfast (their soups are delicious). The staff is friendly & always accommodating. Our food is served hot in generous proportions & for the price (very reasonable compared to other restaurants of this kind), it can’t be beat. Greek owned, the hospitality & food is reflective of the Greek Culture, representing pride, family, community, friendship, kindness & duty of service that is offered to their guests. This is known as Philotimo (pronounced “Fi-ló-timo” [Fee-low-timo]).“

“Looked up this place (to find somewhere near another place we were going). This popped up and looked good so we tried. It did NOT disappoint. Food was fantastic, huge portions and came out quickly. Their coffee is nice and strong (my preference), and the staff was attentive and friendly.

The server provided all of extras, as well; butters, jams, condiments, coffee creamers up front, and kept the coffees and water glasses full. Truly a great experience. “Better than Amazing experience for a Tuesday morning. As you see from the pictures, the food looks delicious, Latekia C. and all of the staff members gave a very warm welcoming to the establishment. Right away, I noticed how clean and fresh it smells. I loved that my utensils and plate look spotless clean. I start getting worried because everything was perfect, I'm thinking to myself that the food would not be perfect. Unfortunately, after Latekia C. helped me decide what I wanted. I think the cook must love his job. Because all the vegetables were cut nice and perfect. Nothing was overcooked or looking like it was pulled out of the freezer and thrown on the grill and plate. My breakfast meal definitely made my morning day much better. Thank you, The Original Pancake House in Oak Forest. Keep up the amazing work.

“My first experience here, chose the chorizo hash skillet for breakfast. It was HUGE and beautifully topped with great tasting guacamole and a roasted jalapeño. The flavor had just the right amount of heat. Enjoyed every bite. My waitress was fun to chat with. Even met the owner. My new favorite breakfast place whenever I am in town. 5 stars!“

“Been going to this place for years with my family. Decided to drop a great review. Skyline Restaurant always had a nice homey atmosphere. Spacious dining areas. Always families eating and enjoying themselves. Our waitress named was Jamie. She was a sweetheart. Very attentive and a very sweet spirit. We ordered the Belgian waffle with the side of eggs and the country fried steak. Everything was amazing as USUAL!“

I have never had an unpleasant experience in any of their three locations in NW Indiana (Highland, Schererville, Merrillville). Prices are decent; what one would expect to pay for a better-than-average breakfast and lunch venue, but not too costly. Try it. You'll like it!“
