“Went there for drinks with friends, comfortable atmosphere, bartender was very friendly and always had a new drink when I wanted one, nice small town bar. Didn't try the food but definitely will go back to try it. Looking to relax and kick back? Stop in you shouldn't be disappointed“

“I have had several dishes here and have never had anything that I didn't enjoy. The thin crust pizza is 40%off on Tuesdays. The waitress and bartenders are very friendly. This is a great hometown bar.. highly recommend you stop in. If you like shots, ask for the mini “
“I enjoy an independent bakery as most of them have been put out of business by Covid by supermarket chains churning out generic baked goods. The independents always have a flair with the products they make every day and most have a specialty.I bought a sampling of items, an apple fritter with maple frosting, a plain crouler, and a cinnamon roll. I really enjoyed them all and found my favorite to be the fritter as it was cooked perfectly and the maple icing was perfect. If you go to a chain bakery the icing always sticks to the paper, not the case here. Oh and the prices are very reasonable.I will be back.“

“I've been wanting to stop in this place in the old village of Brunswick for some time. Yelp reports this as closed, but it's open and the hours on this page are accurate. I finally made it here last night. Brunswick is an old German settlement that was founded in the mid 1800's. It's about two miles west of Cedar Lake/US 41, along 133rd/135th Avenue. The tavern sits at the southeast corner of 135th and Calumet Avenue. You can tell that the building is very old, but kept in very nice condition. We arrived around 6:30 PM, came in through the back door and settled up to the old bar. The owners were watching TV at the bar, waiting to serve those who came in. The menu is very simple: a good selection of domestic bottles (Miller, Bud, Coors, etc.) and a few imports (Grolsch, Warsteiner). The owners were very nice and we talked about the history of the tavern and Brunswick. According to the owner, this has been a continually-operated tavern since 1856, when it served as a stop for stagecoach travel. The tavern was very clean and had a lot of neat, old swag including a vintage Old Style light fixture. Beers were reasonably priced. It doesn't appear they serve anything but bottled/canned beer and lemonade, but definitely worth the stop for a cold beer. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!“

“Went there after a round of golf nearby and picked this place outta the blue and was extremely surprised how good it was. The four of us had some beers and 3 ordered food. 2 of had the chicken sandwich and it was the best and biggest grilled chicken sandwich I ever had! Had an order of onion rings and those were awesome as well. I'll bet everything on the menu would be the same. The bartender was great and really took care of anything we needed. Damn good place.“

“First time here and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Traveled about 25 minutes to check this place out and it went very well. Customer service was on point. The menu has alot of delicious options. They also have good mixed drinks. Reasonably priced. Wait time was not long at all. They have a bar you can sit at and eat. They had music. Not too loud just good enough to hear. The vibe was decent. They have tables and booths. They also have slots. And an ATM machine. Bathroom was clean. Just wish they had more than 2 stalls because sometimes there's a waitBut overall I would highly recommend this place.“

“You will surely be pleased with Phil or Deb as your bartender who are sure to put a smile on your face. Beer's cold and cocktails strong. Don't come with an attitude and you'll do just fine. While you're at it, give Rambo a pat on the head for me.“
