“Hunley's Bar and Grill is a fantastic spot for a casual and enjoyable outing! We were there on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday and loved spending the afternoon outside on the deck. The atmosphere was laid-back and perfect for unwinding with friends. Our bartender, Alyssa, was incredible—she took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Her friendly and attentive service really made our visit memorable. The tacos were a hit! We'll definitely be back for more great times at Hunley's.“

“I recently hosted a last minute surprise birthday party. Everyone at Sips & Stones was incredible. I was looking for a place that would just allow seating for 25 people without having to reserve a room or have pre planned menu. They accommodated every request and helped make it an absolutely wonderful evening. Susan took care of our party and was absolutely incredible! She was the best! “I went to this place once. It is a bar. I went there to try out my new shirt. I wanted to see if people liked it. I also wanted to drink a few beers. This place seemed to fit both of my needs. It was a Tuesday. My friend was in town. He wasn't with me. His name was Daryl. Daryl doesn't like me anymore. I accidently spit on his sister once and ate her bag of pecans.. he told me never to call me again after that. I called him to see if he wanted to go to this bar. He didn't answer. I also stole his sisters car. It was a stick shift. I ditched it in Black Oak, because screw that stuff. I don't like stick shifts. That is why 4 stars.“

“I was looking for a close spot to have a cold beer and grab a bite to eat in-between my daughters volleyball games and stumbled upon the gem called R Place. This spot is great! I was told that they have been in business 42 years! WOW, and I can see why. They are very friendly and treat you well. The food is fantastic and the locals are very laid back and make you feel welcome as well. If I was local to the area, this bar would be my base! A throwback feel to the better times, in my opinion. 5 ✨'s! I hope to get a chance to visit again.“

“Great little hole in the wall bar. They don't serve food, but there's a pizza place downstairs who will bring food up to you, and the bartender tells you they allow you to have food delivered. The pool table is decent. Drinks are reasonably priced with a friendly staff. We'll definitely be back again.“

“This is the new location of what was DC's Country Junction in Lowell IN. No more smelly bathrooms. But I miss the old look that made you feel like you were in a raw country barn. Place is much smaller, but I was told the plans were originally to be 2x the current size. Could definitely use some younger faces working there. If your hoping for a hot cute server look elsewhere. Dance floor is raw wood so no worries on sticking to floor dancing like Lucky Star in Bartlett. Place needs some lights or a sign if you don't know where your going you could drive right past and not see it“

“Restaurant with attached small grocery owned by a very friendly couple. We came at early lunch time on a Saturday and the restaurant happened to be empty, but at other times it is bustling. The husband spent a lot of time chatting with us and explaining many items on the expansive menu since Filipino cuisine is not new to us but not fully familiar to us yet either. The smoothies were fantastic and made with real ingredients. I really liked the ube smoothie, and we also tried mango and strawberry. My husband and son enjoyed their pancit and fried rice. The Lumpia Shanghai was as addictively delicious as you would expect. Last of all, the wife came out of the kitchen with the pièce de résistance, the stuffed fish grilled in banana leaf that was just fantastic. The grocery was small but well organized. They sell some homemade empanadas, pandesal, roasted salted peanuts, and other specialties and also some frozen items like fish and shelf staples. I'm sad I can't come back to try the buffet :)“
