“I love this place, good food and not too expensive. The view and outside seating is awesome. I have one big problem though. Your water is terrible! It seems like you use the same water in the fountain drinks too. Tastes awful, and has some side effects if you know what I mean. Other people I know have had the same issue. We all know Cedar lake water is bad. Please get a better water treatment system.“

The young lady greeted customers, put names on a waiting list, sat others, took to go orders (on the phone and in person), rang up others leaving and delivered to go orders. All with NO ATTITUDE OR SIGNS OF STRESS. Amazing work ethic from her and the staff. Service was great. No long wait on food. “We were looking for place for our date night that was open a little later since our kids all had late sport events. This was our first time here. As soon as we walked in we were in great spirits as the place has a cozy vibe. That is until we were “greeted” by the hostess. She came out of the front room to stand at her podium and asked if we will be sitting at the bar. When we said we would like a table she reminded us that the kitchen closed at 9. It was 8:45. We asked if we order quickly can we still order food, she didn’t even answer, roller her eyes, grabbed 4 menus, and walked off….we assumed to follow her so we did. She tossed the menus onto the table and then proceeded to the kitchen. We were about to just leave but our sweet waitress assured us that we were welcome to order and that everyone is there until 10 anyway. We ordered as fast as possible getting our order in at 9, our food came out at 9:20, we all ate as fast as possible and were done and paid by 9:35.The waitress saved the experience, the food was awesome! We had 2 orders of the perch, a Shrimp Alfredo, and filet. Everyone ate everything on their plate. Will be back to try again, but that hostess needs an attitude adjustment.“

“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“

We chose the pork ribs and they melted in you mouth. Great sauce.The cole slaw was excellent and my martini was reasonably priced and very tasty with cheesy olive garnish. Rachel answered all our question and explained changes to the menu which needs updating. All in all we really enjoyed our meal and atmosphere. He was too hungry to wait for her to redo the order so he said it was fine and just ate it. I had steak skillet which was tasty as well. I like the “it’s always sunny in crown point” the tastings are free and the portions on that are pretty generous to just be a tasting. “My friends and I went in recently and had an amazing experience. A young man, Anthony, served us at the bar and he was by far one of the greatest bartenders I’ve witnessed. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks, and the cocktails he made were all phenomenal! The atmosphere was also great, I loved the vibe in the bar area! The food was great for the most part, I was a little disappointed in the vegan menu, though. I hope they add more options, including a different burger patty substitute since impossible isn’t a healthful option. A portobello cap substitution would work great or even the beyond burger patty would be better! And if they added vegan cheese to the vegan pizza instead of just crust and sauce, it would be superb! All and all a wonderful time!“

“So I visited the area for spring break and was taken to this restaurant by my Son and his Wife on March 18, 2024. I was very pleased with the ambiance. It's an intimate restaurant with a small waiting area that leads out to the eating entrance that has at least 10 tables ranging from 2 to 4 seats, two restrooms, drinking station used by the employees and the cooking area. The Waitress was pleasant and experienced. The presentation of each dish was mouthwatering as you can see. The taste was very much to my liking and seasoning to a minimum as it should be. The amount of food you get for the price is definitely feasible. Yes, you get your monies worth! The Cook that day was on point and delivered! He needs his own tip jar! The way he made the hashbrowns are unique with this mashed/hashbrown taste that melts in your mouth. My omelet was loaded with spinach, I definitely took in my daily dosage of Vitamin C for that day. Freshness and not overcooked was also key. Restaurants like this are fading away in St. Louis City and we need to "Bring Back America" with this here. In my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice, "I will be back".“

“I didn't order any food when I recently visited Spanky's - a bar and grill located in a small strip mall located at 15213 101st Ave. in Dyer, Indiana. I had a few drinks, served by the very kind bartenders, and really enjoyed the live music with my friends and family! You can smoke in the bar, but it is pretty well venhilated, according to my non-smoking friends. There is a decent sized stage, plenty of space to sit at at the bar or at the tables in front of the stage, and there wasn't a wait for the bathrooms. There were three stalls available in the ladies room, which were clean, and it was nice not having to wait! Prices for the drinks were very reasonable. If music isn't your thing, there were plenty of TV's to watch - showing the news, gameshows, and sports games. I had an awesome time, they had amazing musicians, and I look forward to going back soon!Parking: Because the bar is located within a strip club, parking can be limited. There are signs in front of the businesses that state only customers for that business can park there. There IS free, additional parking located behind the strip mall, though.Kid-friendliness: This is a bar that features adult music. You might just want to leave the children at home with a baby sitter if you're going late!Wheelchair accessibility: There are parking spots for disabled individuals. Those with wheelchairs shouldn't have much trouble navigating the single level bar.“

Food was hot and came to our table relatively quick. The only issue we had with our visit was that they were out of numerous things.. No diet pop, no unsweetened ice tea, no cucumbers for the salad, no leaf lettuce for the burger (although they did substitute shredded lettuce instead.) They are closed tomorrow for Easter, so maybe that's why they weren't fully stocked on stuff? Not a total deal breaker for us. The food was still good regardless.
