Duke's Drive In in Sauk Village offers a variety of delicious food options that have received positive reviews from customers. Many diners enjoyed favorites like the Italian beef, which features homemade peppers that provide a unique taste, and the highly praised Pizza Puff and Onion Rings, prepared exactly as requested. The fries are noted for being crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Though the food quality is consistently praised, some customers pointed out issues with service, such as a cook being distracted by his phone and a cashier appearing preoccupied with closing duties. However, the staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, offering recommendations and ensuring a pleasant experience.
The restaurant, located inside a gas station alongside other eateries like Dunkin Donuts, provides a casual dining atmosphere. Although one reviewer found the hamburger just okay, another described it as incredible—hot, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Overall, Duke's Drive In is considered a must-try spot for those who enjoyed the original location, with many customers eager to return for more.
