“Had reservations for 8PM on a friday night. Our table was ready right on time, and the rest of the experience was excellent as well. Our server Kelli had great reccomendations and answers to the few questions we had. Her service was the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive and made our night go smoothly. We opted for the steak for two Porterhouse, done medium plus, with the crab dip as an appetizer and asparagus and mashed potatoes as sides. Everything was absolutely perfect, which I found particularly impressive during a packed house. It was clear the kitchen staff was on their game as well. For drinks we had the berry refresher and a Lighthouse Smoked Manhattan, which were both excellent, though as a note the berry refresher is on the sweeter side. We finished with the cheesecake with homemade blueverry sauce and it may have been the best cheesecake I have had. We will definitely be coming back when the occasion strikes.“

“I've been here with some friends a couple of times and they don't disappoint. The service is great, the bartenders are really good, the food is really good and it gets a bit crowded but you never feel closed in. The outside accommodation was comfortable even when it was cold out, and the lower level option was great since we had a few more people. I was missing an item and called to explain the situation and they fixed it right away, no hassle or complications. We will definitely be back for our monthly get togethers!!!“

“Our first time there. Waitress, Lisa was very pleasant and engaging. I ordered the Back of the Yards skillet... Very good! My wife ordered a bacon/cheese omelette... She was also very satisfied! “Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“

“The only reason I’m leaving a 4 is because of the ladies restroom. Plenty of soap, no paper towel, and the air dryer was not up to par. There’s a slip and fall risk because of where the sink is in relation to where the hand dryer is. Lots of water on the floor, and the floor is slick. Otherwise, the food was great, and our server was amazing, I think her name was Tiffany. Great menu suggestions and very personable! I’ll definitely be back!“

“Very friendly staff, Lulu was as sweet as can be! I very much appreciate a server who is so genuine and attentive. In general the food options are pretty good, but - I have many friends who are vegan or vegetarian. It's hard to find a place that offers any unique options for them Having a disappointed friend always detracts from a lunch date (A soup or another cooked veggie option would be surprising and delightful!).They were also out of the poppyseed dressing that really makes the salad it's for, that was another 2 friends slightly disappointed. We all did enjoy the tea options! Please get some more peach in stock soon :)Vegetarian options: There is a veggie wrap, does have feta cheese and ranch. “We have never been here before and was trying someplace new. We enjoyed it and would go again the next time we were inIndiana. My husband had Apple Pancakes which is not what he wanted, he said the Apple Pancake which is baked in the oven. We waited a minute which is fine because that particular pancake takes about 40 minutes and then to see that all he got wA regular pancakes with apples om top, couldn't understand the wait time. He was too hungry to wait for her to redo the order so he said it was fine and just ate it. I had steak skillet which was tasty as well. I had to add salt, it needed some flavor and it was supposed to have Bleu Cheese crumbles in it but I didn't see or taste much cheese.“

Italian Beef sliders were delicious and disappeared in about 30 seconds. Brought the crab cakes, wedge salad and grilled salmon back for my wife and they were all gone in about 10 minutes despite feeding a fussy baby at the same time. The butterscotch espresso martini is a decadent treat you can't skip. My only critiques are that as a whole, the prices are a bit steep, the space is small and probably not great for a large group, and the tomatoes in the Caprese were disappointingly bland. But if you're looking to spoil yourself and/or someone close to you, this is an excellent venue for it.“

“I love this place! They are always very friendly when we come in and it's never super busy. Their food is reasonably priced and it tastes delicious. My current favorite menu item is their burger and fries. It's always so fresh and the fries are so crispy. My partner always gets their tacos and they love them! They always come with so much food it's like getting a second meal for later. I also love seeing all of the specials they post on their Facebook page. They update it frequently with their offerings and I love seeing the new stuff they bring to the menu.“

“12/1/23, Friday eve tried this restaurant after a few years of pandemic issues, glad we did! Rachel, our service provider was delightful and attentive. We chose the pork ribs and they melted in you mouth. Great sauce.The cole slaw was excellent and my martini was reasonably priced and very tasty with cheesy olive garnish. Rachel answered all our question and explained changes to the menu which needs updating. All in all we really enjoyed our meal and atmosphere. It is a bar, and has limited space, but for 2 of us at lunchtime we had the whole back room that was quiet. Cici was super nice and attentive. We very much enjoyed our visit.“

The young lady greeted customers, put names on a waiting list, sat others, took to go orders (on the phone and in person), rang up others leaving and delivered to go orders. They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. The bartenders are nice and playful and their food menu includes some clearly identified vegan options. They also have a couple of old arcade games you can play for free and have a bingo night, which is fun.“

“This is a hip spot with good food and drink. Had a good time on a Saturday night with live music. All of the people that work there were very friendly. The buffalo shrimp were a nice size and fried well. The spinach and artichoke dip was decent. Wife had the salmon with mac n cheese. I had the blackened catfish with asparagus. I enjoyed the catfish but it didn't have that crisp on it like other blackened catfish I've had before. The asparagus were cooked perfectly. Ended the evening with the delicious sticky toffee cake. It had a really nice texture and good sauce.“

“So I visited the area for spring break and was taken to this restaurant by my Son and his Wife on March 18, 2024. I was very pleased with the ambiance. It's an intimate restaurant with a small waiting area that leads out to the eating entrance that has at least 10 tables ranging from 2 to 4 seats, two restrooms, drinking station used by the employees and the cooking area. The Waitress was pleasant and experienced. The presentation of each dish was mouthwatering as you can see. The taste was very much to my liking and seasoning to a minimum as it should be. The amount of food you get for the price is definitely feasible. Yes, you get your monies worth! The Cook that day was on point and delivered! He needs his own tip jar! The way he made the hashbrowns are unique with this mashed/hashbrown taste that melts in your mouth. My omelet was loaded with spinach, I definitely took in my daily dosage of Vitamin C for that day. Freshness and not overcooked was also key. Restaurants like this are fading away in St. Louis City and we need to "Bring Back America" with this here. “Visiting the area and family wanted us to try their brews as one of their favorites. Tried a flight of 10 beers and favs were Tangerine Trackstar, Toxic Words, Lucifer in a haze, Immoveable King, Nuban overlord and the top one Here comes the reaper. We also had the Pretzel and queso for snacks. They were very good and fast. They also had ice tea which is not always available at breweries. I will say the art work gave me pause and some of the names being a Christian but I don't know the background to comment.“

The service was top notch with very attentive wait staff.I ordered the Sliced Roast Turkey, and my wife went with the Chicken and Lake Perch Combo. My Turkey was good, though slightly on the dry side but the gravy helped with that. The dressing and potatoes were good.My wife’s dinner was very large, and she said it all tasted good. She didn’t agree with the reviews about the chicken being the best, but she said it was fine.
