If you go, make sure you check out to the back yard area & go for a walk around the new path they've made. Theres a walkway than goes behind the pond and goes back up to the other side of the patio. The entire new trail is all lit up on both sides of the path w/ colorful lights. It's just beautiful out there, particularly at night.“

“This is not a fancy or trendy restaurant or sports bar. It is a clean, nicely decorated local sports bar with good TVs and sound. Great place for mostly smaller groups. The food is not gourmet but very satisfying. I've eaten pizza around the US for 50 years of my life, and it's not the best I've ever had, but it is very good and one of my local favorites. If you're dissatisfied with the pizza, then you don't know good pizza. The wings are again not the best but better than average with a variety of flavors. Same with the burgers, they are good. If you find that any restaurant doesn't make good burgers, then stop ordering more than medium done. Then, add more salt to your taste if needed. Other food is also good. What makes this place special is that they have great food and drink specials. Yes, service can be slow at times, but it's usually because of their great specials. I had my son's 21st birthday here for family, and they had a small reserved section for about 20 people. The pizza, wings and service were fantastic. If you're going to expect perfection, then you may not like this place. If you're looking for an above average place, that's clean and serves decent food and great pizza. To watch some sports or hang out and have a few cocktails and not break the bank, this is the place to go. That's why they get 5 stars. Also, if you get bad service many times it's because you have a bad attitude or it's 1/2 price pizza day on Wed and it's crowded.“

“We were looking for place for our date night that was open a little later since our kids all had late sport events. This was our first time here. As soon as we walked in we were in great spirits as the place has a cozy vibe. That is until we were “greeted” by the hostess. She came out of the front room to stand at her podium and asked if we will be sitting at the bar. When we said we would like a table she reminded us that the kitchen closed at 9. It was 8:45. We asked if we order quickly can we still order food, she didn’t even answer, roller her eyes, grabbed 4 menus, and walked off….we assumed to follow her so we did. She tossed the menus onto the table and then proceeded to the kitchen. We were about to just leave but our sweet waitress assured us that we were welcome to order and that everyone is there until 10 anyway. We ordered as fast as possible getting our order in at 9, our food came out at 9:20, we all ate as fast as possible and were done and paid by 9:35.The waitress saved the experience, the food was awesome! We had 2 orders of the perch, a Shrimp Alfredo, and filet. Everyone ate everything on their plate. Will be back to try again, but that hostess needs an attitude adjustment.“

“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“

He was too hungry to wait for her to redo the order so he said it was fine and just ate it. I had steak skillet which was tasty as well. I had to add salt, it needed some flavor and it was supposed to have Bleu Cheese crumbles in it but I didn't see or taste much cheese.“

They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. They also have a couple of old arcade games you can play for free and have a bingo night, which is fun.“

He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks, and the cocktails he made were all phenomenal! The atmosphere was also great, I loved the vibe in the bar area! The food was great for the most part, I was a little disappointed in the vegan menu, though. I hope they add more options, including a different burger patty substitute since impossible isn’t a healthful option. A portobello cap substitution would work great or even the beyond burger patty would be better! And if they added vegan cheese to the vegan pizza instead of just crust and sauce, it would be superb! “So I visited the area for spring break and was taken to this restaurant by my Son and his Wife on March 18, 2024. I was very pleased with the ambiance. It's an intimate restaurant with a small waiting area that leads out to the eating entrance that has at least 10 tables ranging from 2 to 4 seats, two restrooms, drinking station used by the employees and the cooking area. The Waitress was pleasant and experienced. The presentation of each dish was mouthwatering as you can see. The taste was very much to my liking and seasoning to a minimum as it should be. The amount of food you get for the price is definitely feasible. Yes, you get your monies worth! The Cook that day was on point and delivered! He needs his own tip jar! The way he made the hashbrowns are unique with this mashed/hashbrown taste that melts in your mouth. My omelet was loaded with spinach, I definitely took in my daily dosage of Vitamin C for that day. Freshness and not overcooked was also key. Restaurants like this are fading away in St. Louis City and we need to "Bring Back America" with this here.
