“Highly recommend trying Merienda’s. I went there based on a recommendation from a friend. Loved the vibe, mom/pop, cute restaurant, with a lot of delicious options. Tried the spicy shrimp with garlic rice, pancit, ube latte with oat milk, pink calamansi lemonade, & mango cheesecake. Delicious! Will definitely go back to try other dishes. Very reasonably priced for the portion size. The guy at the register was friendly & enthusiastic with helping us select our entree.”

“Very fast and pleasant service, along with amazing food served here. 10/10 best restaurant I’ve been to in Grayslake! Sat down at 7:45, watched our food and drinks made be served before 8. “I love Tony’s Butcher shop. I have never had a bad sausage flavor. I enjoy just going there to purchase what ever the flavor of the week might be. The cuts of meat are great and we love the kabobs as a meal anytime. I respect the family owned business and the service they always provide every time I go in.”

They were super quick with the drinks, very friendly and attentive, and there’s a wide variety of options to choose from — everything looked amazing! “😀Great food, however, the “build your own burger“was a disappointment. The onions tasted bitter and very salty. I got the worst case of heartburn from this burger! OMG. Otherwise, everything else is top quality! Be careful when ordering this “build your own burger.”🍔 I’ve never tasted onions so bad, and seem to be imbedded into the meat that tasted so bitter and awful salty. “I found out about them when I went to the farmers market this past Saturday. My pregnant self was overwhelmed by all the pies and I really wanted all of them but I was recommended the chocolate pecan pie and it was the best pie I’ve ever eaten. Bartenders are pretty good but you have to not be shy or anxious or they probably won't serve you. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had that I didn't make myself, and also, everyone should try the Zoey if you like sweet drinks.”

But the truth is we've tried a whole bunch of breakfast places and unfortunately for them this quaint little spot has set the bar. Great food and prompt service all the time. Typically we play it safe with the BOGO Double Butter Burger Deluxe burgers w/o bread but tonite we were feeling like a change of pace so I took a chance a called to what other GF options we had. Olivia was an absolute rock star and knew all the answers to my gluten free questions. She spoke to me on the phone and then assisted with my additional questions once I was onsite to order. A HUGE thanx to Olivia for her patience and expertise and to Culver’s for offering those with Celiac Disease options when they don’t feel like cooking and want a quick bite out!”

“Everything was great! Food was fantastic and it was very comfortable to hangout at. Our server was very nice but goofy, messed up a couple times. We don’t know if he was new, if it was because it was busy because it was very busy or if he was going through some personal stuff… BUT he didn’t make excuses like “you ordered this” or “someone else messed up”, he simply apologized and immediately fixed the issue, which we greatly appreciate! I hate when the server blames someone else or whatever, to me it doesn’t matter, just fix it! He had us giggling the whole time, even though he was making mistakes! Will definitely be going back very soon!”

“We ordered when they first opened but at that time felt there weren't many options and food was bland. Glad we gave this place a second chance! We ordered today and everything was delicious! They expanded their menu and was so happy to see the Indonesian Peanut Saute! Husband loved the Pad Thai. We had the Green Goddess and Raspberry Poppy Seed Pecan salads and they were super fresh and paired nicely with the dressings. Great friendly customer service from the young man taking the orders. Will definitely be back!”
