I was super excited when I looked up Mrs. Fields to place an order for my daughter’s cake at the Milwaukee location to see there’s one in Gurnee Mills now. We took a chance on this place for a birthday party and after trying some samples with the owner, our expectations were admittedly high because the samples were so good. “Love this place. Although the menu for breakfast/lunch is limited, it is still good and is priced right. The coffee is great. It is the pastries that will blow your mind and taste buds, omg. You must come to the "Lovin Oven and Cakery" and grab a coffee and a pastry at minimum. You will not be disappointed. They also do wedding cakes, and have a wedding department, as you can see in the photos.“

“The BEST dairy free products! 3 years ago I was diagnosed with an allergy to all dairy. Bakery's became a memory from my past. I embarked on a quest of taste testing vegan baked goods and dairy free recipes. Sadly, I quickly became disenchanted and resigned myself to life without delicious tasting baked goods. Luckily for me, my husband DISCOVERED KARINA's. One evening he came home with two boxes of Karina's dairy free bread, pastries, and chocolate cake. HEAVENLY best describes the flavors and taste. “ONLY BAKERY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD!This was the first time I bought treats from this place. I ordered cupcakes for the staff members working at my son’s school. They looked great and I received good feedback from the staff members. I purchased individually packaged fruit cakes. They were delicious and well made. They were loaded with fruits and nuts. “Always a great treat whether I'm with the family or not and especially on a hot summer day/night, Cold Stone really hits the spot. But even when it gets cold out, still fun to go to even during a brutal Chicago area winter.This is probably the one ice cream parlor around compared to others that has a huge emphasis on toppings/creations which is definitely their strong point.Always a great selection of flavors between their regular year round and seasonal flavors, prices still seem reasonable although the high-end ice cream chain has never really been cheap and customer service remains consistently good in an always spiffy clean/sanitized atmosphere.CSC obviously does battle with competitors such as Oberweis up the road and Graeter's. When it comes to taste and quality, this place lives up to the price and my kids are well worth it anytime of the year.Only con (which doesn't drag down a 5⭐️ rating) about this place is the parking lot which can be greatly limited especially on wknd nights when nearby Giordano's gets packed. You may find yourself having to park east across the street from Starbucks and walking a bit of distance.“
