“My previous review was accidentally deleted by me, but let me just say that this is by far the best bar around the Chicagoland area. Firstly, let me start by raving about Colleen, the GOAT of bartenders! She is an absolute sweetheart! From the first day she made me feel at home! If you are new, she goes up to you, introduces herself and hands you a napkin. She has the most awesome and proper etiquette for the hospitality industry. Colleen is an absolute godsend! I do not know a single person who badmouths her. She also makes the best margaritas and rums/cokes! She remembers your name as wel and starts calling you by your name on the second day. The other bartenders are amazing as well. On Tuesdays and Thursdays when I go in, Lisa remembers my drink and food order. She is also a gem as well! As far as the food goes, the chicken bacon ranch wrap is one of the best I have ever eaten. The Cheddar Cheese burger is amazing as well. Seriously this place is a great find. As far as the reviews calling this place racist are concerned, to each their own: I have never had any issues and I am disabled and asian that is like a double negative. It is the most inclusive place around town!“

“Some of the best pizza in the area. Keep it simple . . . one to two ingredients . . . and request well done. As in most pizzerias, smaller pies are much, much better than large ones. The 12" comes out perfectly. Great drinks and wings, too. And tons of TVs. Open late.“

“Came here with a few friends and family to play darts. It was 930 pm and we were told we were being too loud- literally cheering that my mom got a bullseye. Because it was apparently their dinner hour… one table was eating. The bartender started swearing at us and the other was so concerned we cheered yet let a dad pay her off to allow a teenager in days ago. Handed us the bill and then called the cops on us. Mind you the cops laughed hearing how they were. Would not recommend a thing. Terrible atmosphere and incompetent rude staff.“

“I went bowling with one of my nephews who inadvertently left his credit card on the table. I wanted to bowl the following evening and when I showed up Renee recognized me and told me she had a surprise for me. She then went into the back room and came back with my nephew‘s credit card. I imagine it could be difficult to remember exactly who was Bowling on that lane last Yet she remembered and put the credit card on the side as she figured I’d be returning at some point during the week. I really appreciate her honesty and care for her customers!!! I highly recommend this bowling alley as all the people who work there are honest,work work very hard to keep things clean, Maintain the bowling lanes, prepare food, etc. I love coming to this bowling alley And Have recommended It to several other others over the past few years! “I play for the two roller derby teams that practice at Coachlite down the street from Rookie’s (Chicago-Style Roller Derby women’s+ league and Chicago Bruise Brothers men’s+ league) and we love coming to Rookies after practices!!! Best place ever!! Great service and the food is always top notch. We are hooked on the $0.99 wings special and get them every Sunday and Monday.“

“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

He has egg and peanut allergies and Kelsey went above and beyond to ensure the food we ordered didn’t have these allergens. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. “Placed an order over the phone for a delivery order and I must say, the service was great. I believe Mark took my order (according to the receipt). Super helpful and quick. Budgeted 1 hour for delivery, showed up in 50 minutes which is always a plus. Delivery driver was courteous and overall I’m glad we ordered from here!

Pizza was very good, and they have a gluten free 10” as well!

Wings were not as good as expected, but I can’t lower their rating for that.

I’m not a huge fan of bars or pubs, especially on a game night, but the atmosphere and food at Rookie’s is definitely on a whole new level! We were here to watch the Bears vs 49ers match, and found the staff to be very welcoming and patient, in spite of the place filled to the brim. This was only my second time and the last time I was here was back in August. Yet, Megan still remembered us. All I can say is that she’s kind, hilarious, and warmhearted, making our experience at Rookie’s even more memorable! More restaurants truly do need hospitality like hers.“
