Where can I start?! El Buren has been our go-to bar/destination for our after work Happy Hour! The Pina Coladas are beyond amazing and just what we need to drown our work sorrows away. The staff here is top-notch. Shoutout to Andy and Florencia who consistently serve my sister, friend, and I the best Pina Coladas in the northern suburbs (dare I say Chicago). A hidden gem! Great music, low-key atmosphere and service. The chef/owners go out of their way to get to know their customers...
Food here is outstanding. It's a bit more expensive (a lot more) than any of the Howard street restaurants, down by Evanston, but I'd say it was a bit better in some aspects and there's also a full service bar, so take the good with bad. Nice atmosphere tends to be a bit more mod than was comfortable, but the food and service more than made up for that.

The place has a good atmosphere. Food was good in portion. I asked for chuleta kankan. And that thing is huge. The picture doesn't do it any justice. But it was well seasoned and crispy, around the edges. I highly recommend this dish, but make sure that you have someone to help you eat it.
