“Where do I begin? Welcoming atmosphere, clean restaurant, and attentive service. I'm not a margarita fan, but I thoroughly enjoy my strawberry margarita and would enjoy again! My fiancé ordered salsa and chips for an appetizer and we were both happily surprised with the fresh chips and tasty green salsa! After enjoying our appetizer we both ordered their three taco dinner special for taco Tuesday. My fiancé order steak tacos and I ordered a combination of chicken tinga, chorizo, and their house special campechano. Everything was amazing!!! My fiancé enjoys the spicier salsas and was offered a habenero red salsa. We sampled all three that was received and have nothing but good things to say about them all. “We just celebrated my wife's surprise 65th birthday Sunday with 14 family members. We chose El vado #2 Mexican Restaurant and couldn't be any happier. From them going out of their way purchasing ballons and banners to her complimentary frozen ice cream the service, food and drinks were phenomenal. Very warm and welcoming staff. Very appreciative of your business and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you for this memory. Never felt rushed. Everyone in our family raved on how great it was and was one of our best parties ever. Familiar with their other restaurant in McHenry which is also excellent and reasonably priced. You have to try this place if you like mexican food. A+++“

N it was .... The best steak burrito I've had in years.
Perfectly grilled burrito. Mistake was juicy and tender which is most places biggest mistake or steaks usually very chewy I find very few places that I would even order steak burrito.
Because it hasn't been done right in a long time when I order it I just ordered chicken from now on but since I've never been here I went with it. And that was a very good choice.nyu yum yum
No doubt I will be back if you've never been just give it a try even there mild and their spicy sauce is very good I can find nothing to complain about and I'm generally picky about food because I love to cook so if I go out and pay for it and I can make it better myself that's disappointing I'm no professional I've only gotten my head into learning to cook like three four years ago and I am an amateur but I know there's places where I do a better job myself so I would go to Raul's anytime over anywhere I don't have another burrito place and I don't need one probably if this place up once or twice a week don't want to overdo it but you get that craving immediately it's because sometimes you haven't had good food that you paid for in a long time all right I'm surprised how much I put so I'm going to stop rambling and I recommend highly really give it a try“

The salsa was extremely spicy (still edible, but I prefer a more mild salsa, especially in a restaurant setting) and the chicken taco which claimed to be spicy, actually wasn't, which I thought was kind of strange. The pico de gallo on my fish taco was also very hot since it contained a lot of jalapeno. Out of the 3 tacos I got the mahi mahi was my favorite.“

“Stopped here after about 7 - 8 games of Pickleball, with a big appetite- left full, satisfied, with plenty for at least another meal.
Had the Ground Beef burrito, and it was yummy! The House made chips and salsa were also delicious. ( these were complimentary)
There’s something about the chips that really stuck out for me in a positive way. They weren’t greasy at all, and had a nice taste & crunch to them.
The salsa had a little kick but not too much. (they brought other sauces to the table you could use as well that I’m guessing we’re spicier, but I’m not a spicy gal)
Employees were friendly, the atmosphere is very casual.
Prices are definitely reasonable & fair

“Dine in includes chips and salsa. Salsa is excellent. It has some spice to it. The chips are slightly above average.

I typically enjoy the chicken burrito or chicken taco salad. Both are excellent. The burrito is a better but $10 vs. the taco bowl $14.

The enchiladas are good. I haven’t quite found the perfect sauce. The white poblano sauce is ok.

The steak burrito wasn’t as good as I was hoping. The steak was on the tough side but still ok.

The rice and beans are top notch. Some of the best I’ve had. Rice is cooked perfectly and the beans are excellent, not watery at all.

I recommend dine in and the chicken burrito. The habanero sauce is excellent.“

Not today! We have finally found a restaurant that delivers in all the areas we have been looking for and then some. Listen, want to know how to spot a good Mexican restaurant , try their chip and salsa and their aqua de horchata. If they’re stale, you’ll know first hand what to expect.

Well, let me tell you that not only did this place feel welcoming, their food was delicious! The tamales was the key factor in this as well as their rice. My brother and I were left satisfied and happy. The owner reminds me of my father, someone who fights to make a living and the way everyone here treats their customers is outstanding! I can see why the people who kept arriving had a smile on and just respected as if they were familia.

We ordered chips and salsa, Pollo with Mole, and the Steak Burrito Fajita. The chips are homemade (as expected) and very good. The chicken in the Pollo with Mole was super tender. The mole was rich. It came with homemade corn tortillas. The Steak Burrito is filled with fajita fillings, so steak, green and red peppers, and onions. The flour tortilla was filled and grilled giving the whole a nice smokey flavor. It was one of the very best burritos I have ever had. Look over my reviews. I have eaten a lot of burritos. They have a creamy salsa verde that is great, a very nice Roja sauce, and a hot sauce that is no joke hot. Our server was great and the whole experience was a great one. Will be back soon.“

“Went here for the first time service was exceptional. They let us know today was mothers day in mexico which I loved it doesnt change anything but it was cute that they mentioned it to us. They stopped us on our way out to give me and my friend roses for mothers day. They were quick and on top of everything, very attentive. Two mom with two little ones was a challenge but they made us feel very welcome. The enchiladas were great 9.5/10 the quesabirria was ok 6.5/10 not my favorite I couldve order soemthing else but I was happy enough. Absolutely would go back again.“

“Cute small restaurant off Rt 134 in Round Lake with excellent margaritas and delicious food. Got the Mexican Eggs breakfast and it was perfect! Eggs not runny or over cooked, more than enough for the 4 tortillas provided. Generous portion so I am bringing some home! Yummy on the rocks strawberry margarita with plenty of strawberries 🍓 floating in it. Several lime slices and an orange in the traditional margarita. Would recommend and we will definitely be back to try the $1.99 tacos on Tuesdays. 😁👍“

“Have lived in Round Lake Beach 17 years and this is my 1st time coming in for a sit down meal (Saturday 5/4, 7pm). The place was 1/2 to 2/3 full. What impressed me the most is the waitresses (only 2) were able to keep people fed in a very timely manner. The establishment is clean and the food was good. Both my spouse and I ordered the carne asada meal. Unfortunately one flank steak was a bit greasy compared to the other one. My spouse has acid reflux, so that's probably why she noticed this. Had an excellent experience, the prices are fair, and "yes" I do plan to dine at this establishment again one day.“
