“Yum! I love the salsas. Guacamole and chips fresh and delicious. I had an el pastor burrito with everything. It was tasty and hit the spot. Meat was a little fatty, good flavor and not overcooked. I'll be back to try other menu items. Edit-return visit I had mole chicken. Tasty flavors and large portion to enjoy leftovers.“
“I very much enjoyed the pupusas, sweet corn tamales, and corn atol. Prices were reasonable. The very clean dining area had amazing art. Great options for vegans and vegetarians and omnivores.Parking: On the side of the building and easily to spot and access.Kid-friendliness: Kind, patient, and accommodating to my kids and the food is not spicy.“
“We first tried their tacos on the promotion "Taco Tuesday". And my favorite one for now is with potatoes instead of beef! As for a vegetarian it is a really good dish that I never had before!) I'd like to try something new with their perfect potatoes! And another one that we love is the craving box! For 5 dollars there is a lot of food including tacos, cinnamon twists and a drink!Vegetarian options: Just change beef to beans or potatoes, and it's all yours, guys!“
“This Mexican restaurant in Lake County is truly the best! The steak burritos and pork tacos are fantastic—far superior to Chipotle. The lively atmosphere, with TV soccer games, creates a great vibe. Even during busy times, the staff remains friendly. For authentic, affordable, and delicious Mexican food, this place is a top recommendation. Having been a regular for years, I can attest that it consistently hits the spot, and don't miss out on the complimentary chips and salsa – they're amazing“
“I have tried to order birria tacos in the past when visiting on a Friday. I was told it's served only on the weekend. To them this means Saturday and Sunday. We visited on Saturday and ordered 3 birria tacos. I got a plate woth 3 tacos on it but no consomme. I asked at the counter. The young woman walked in the kitchen. There was a hushed conversation and she eventually returned with a little bit of consomme in a styro cup. One of the other women came up and told me "We don't usually give the consomme with the birria tacos. We'll make a special exception this time."I have ordered birria all over this country. LosAngeles, Dallas, Houston, most recently in Franklin, KY. It has always been served with consomme. I've never had to ask for it. I am put off by this. El Rey del Pollo Asado makes good tacos, burritos, and charo beans and I'll be back for them. But is there really any reason to order birria if you have to beg for the consomme? I brought this up to a couple of my Mexican colleagues while we were at lunch and they confirmed what I felt. You order birria. You get consomme.“
“Great value! My taste buds love their food and their sauces! Take note, each location is different in taste/quality... this is a great one IMO. I can say I have found a better version of a few dishes else where. You can't go wrong with most everything on the menu regardless, even if not the best of the best.“
