“I found Grand Prairie Station while traveling home from a funeral in Joliet, IL. I googled best restaurants near me, and boy let me tell you…this was the most amazing place, the food was delicious, but even better was the owner Cheryl. Cheryl was one of the most amazing and kind people I had ever met. Like I told her, I would travel 4 hours just to eat here, but honestly I would travel from anywhere!!!”

The lady called me back & said no sorry we aren’t open today but Yanno my husband was gonna make us a pizza & I guess since he’s gonna be out where doing it & you want some I can have him cook you one. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED TO EAT PIZZA IN MY LIFE & DRIVE 20 MINUTES TO DO SO. She could have told me no but out of the kindness of her heart she made me a pizza. “Haven’t been here since they changed owners. Always lived in the area but never gave them a chance until today (after I’ve heard multiple great experiences from people that live up north). My friend and I both ordered an italian beef sandwich. They were made fairly quick & tasted phenomenal!! I definitely got my moneys worth coming here rather than going to the local coffee shop for my sandwich in Piper. Also, their drinks are very affordable! 2 crown & cran drinks for only $11? Those mixed drinks also tasted amazing! Definitely come here!”

“Went for the fish fry they advertised on Facebook. It was real good! Three good sized pieces of fried cod, loaded mashed potatoes and coleslaw for $13 and change.

My friend and I I ate at the bar, and had a couple of beers. They don’t have draft beer, and they didn’t have MGD or High Life. We settled for Busch Light, which was a great complement to the fish.

The bartender was nice and attentive. It was quiet enough for my friend and I to have a pretty serious conversation.

I hope they do more of these fish fries, but would prefer they be on the weekend!”

“We went on a Friday night and had the fish dinner. Both the broiled and the fried dinners were very good. The service was quick and friendly. The prices were descent as well. This seemed like a great place for families.”
