“We were looking forward to axe throwing. One of the lanes we were given was so deteriorated that when I removed an axe, a chunk of wood roughly 4x18" fell out of the center, and we were still expected to play the lane. I had thrown 3, maybe 4 times when that happened, and I quit after that. The rest of the party was on another lane. The experience was so lacking that we left before our first 30 minutes was even up. We were offered no apology, improvement, nothing. And of course, charged a full rate. Very disapppinting, and genuinely didn't feel like they cared about the axe throwing area. Would not recommend.“

“Went to Opie's for the first time tonight to celebrate my and my boyfriend's 3rd anniversary and it was phenomenal! I had heard they had the best fried pickles in town...they absolutely do! And one order has to be equal to 2 jars of pickle chips. 🤯 I had the Big Mic Smash Tacos with fries...10/10! Also, the blueberry lemonade shake-up...dangerously delicious! My boyfriend had some wings, a beer battered tenderloin and fries and still hasn't stopped raving about it. Carolyn was our waitress and she was fun and upbeat. She said Opie never wants people to leave hungry and we most certainly didn't. We were stuffed and took home enough leftovers for a second meal each! We will definitely be returning! Truly a Galesburg gem! 🖤“

“Nice to see some business activity return to what was once the business district of this small village. Menu is limited but the food is good. Beer selection is mostly midwest staples like Bud, Miller, Busch, and Coors. Service is prompt and friendly.“

“We had lunch there today. It was the second time I've been here and it was good both times. Service was quick, efficient and the waitress was attentive but not overly so. The restaurant is very pretty as well.“
