“Great, family-friendly service. I came here with my kids, so that was top of mind. The food was delicious, and I was glad that they asked me about the spice level instead of just making it bland. My kids ate without reservations. I recommend the kid's boxes for the kids. It's a great combo for the little ones.“

“The absolute best sushi I've had anywhere. Not only is the sushi fresh, hence the name, but the chef is a true master of his craft. The owner and staff couldn't be more genuine as they provide the most welcoming atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try, especially if you are unsure about sushi. This place will have you hooked within the first bite.“

“Pretty authentic Japanese ramen. Been here at least three times. All the different ramen I tried were good. However a bit on the salty side. The spicy one is actually spicy. Also, most of the time the meat slices in the ramen are melt in your mouth tender and super tasty. However, there was one time the meat was tough, chewy, and lukewarm. Duno what happened with that. The dish with the meat slices on top of rice was not as good as when the meat is on the ramen. The meat was even saltier and a little over charred. The chicken kara age is delicious. Super tender and juicy on inside and crispy outside.“

“This place was packed! Although I started off a bit annoyed, I quickly realized why. The omurice and lemonade were outstanding. Everything from start to end was amazing and I can't wait to go back.Parking: Theres a parking lot right next to it and we were lucky to get a spot. We saw many cars after us trying to find a spot.“

“I recently ordered here and had the for to taste the spicy chicken and beef wagyu which were delicious, but the tokoyaki stood out more than anything for me. The ability to order and readiness was also worth appreciating. Highly recommended“

“I had my order to go, the broth was great and so was the pork. I do think it had an okay amount of spice for it being “spicy” but I think I will order more chili next time. The noodles for me were too springy, but next time I just have to tell them to cook them longer. I got extra pork since I felt it wouldn’t have been enough and it’s a good thing I ordered the extra. BEST crab ragoons I ever had! And they were full, usually they skimp on the ration filling but they were amazing. I am definitely going back to eat there ?“

“Very aesthetically pleasing place. I liked the decor and the wallpaper of the place. Nice spot for ramen. The broth was very tasty for the classic tonkotsu. The staff was quick and very accommodating for our 10-12 people group. It was one of the best ramens I had in the area. Will be coming back and highly recommend!“

“Delicious food and healthy portions. Very relaxed atmosphere, sitting is either in one of two large booths, or tables that are half booth half chair. Very comfortable seating either way. Service was great. There was one server at the time but he was super friendly and quick with service.“

“Forbidden noodles' primarily culinary focus is Japanese Ramen and stir fry selections. The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. If you are searching for your favorite bowl of ramen anywhere around chicagoland, feel free to check my reviews of alternate ramen restaurant options.“
