“First time here, we had a delicious lunch! The chicken taco soup was really good. Also tried the grilled ham and Nick which was good, although I love me a good old fashioned hot ham and cheese, the addition of grilled onions and flavored mayo wasn't my favorite. We will definitely goback and try other entrees.“
“What a gem of a place to find while camping at Starved Rock! We enjoyed it so much we came back again the next day. The fudge (along with many of their other candies) is made on site and comes in an array of fantastic flavors, from more traditional like chocolate/caramel and peanut butter to uncommon but equally delicious flavors like strawberry, cappuccino, and birthday cake. Currently, they have a buy three pieces get one free special (which is how we ended up with 8 different flavors of fudge). They currently offer high quality ice cream from the Chocolate Shoppe out of Wisconsin, with some unique options like Exhausted Parent (bourbon espresso w/ chocolate chunks) and Munchie Madness (cake batter w/ caramel, M&Ms, Oreos, and peanut butter cups). It was such a pleasure to meet Roxie and we'll definitely be back!“
“Only thing I can really recommend is the rootbeer itself. All ice cream including floats are all soft serve. Food isn't bad but not worth writing home about.Kid-friendliness: Staff is very friendly and the whole place is ment for families.“

“Stopped for a sweet snack and was pleasantly surprised. There is a large variety of items to choose from and what we ordered was good (chocolate hot fudge sundae, caramel sundae and a banana split). The staff was nice and quick to get our order together despite there being a long line of students (to avoid the line of kids - go any time other than when school is released). I'd recommend coming to grab something sweet to eat at this cute little old timey ice cream stand. I'd come back to try to more of the menu.“
