“Godfather’s pizza has excellent tangy pizza sauce! They put plenty of toppings and the pizza crust is delish! I had never had Godfather’s pizza and was needing a quick bite while traveling. Thankfully, they had ready made pizzas and I got a small one. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a little dry as you might expect with a ready made, but i was blown away by the great ROBUST flavor. Needless to say, I came back to try a freshly made pizza and was not disappointed! SO good. Godfather’s is now my go to pizza. So glad they’re in my area! The price is great, too!“
“Been getting delivered since we moved out here 10 years ago. Always enjoyed the pizza. They now have real Philly Hoagies! First one tonight. Very good! As good, if not better, than J.M.'s. Even uses Amoroso rolls! Not as good as Lee's Hoagie House, a Philly tradition, but better than the average Philly hoagie shop. Kudos!“
“Best homemade pizza. We stopped by after hiking at Starved rock state park and reading all the positive reviews we decided to try this place. The joint takes you back to time, Sam is an amazing person to interact with and funny. He is really hardworking and super fast as well, we got our pizza within 20 mins. For $10 I was expecting the pizza to be average, but I was so wrong. I ended up eating more slices than I usually do. I would go back again. This is a must visit when you are in Oglesby.“
“The food is 5 stars. The service is 5 stars. The ambiance with a cool sports bar vibe is 5 stars. My wife and I dined in at the bar on a Monday afternoon. The bartender provided good service! I ordered a cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese with fries. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with American cheese and fries. My wife had a sprite to drink and I had a water. The soda is 1 dollar!! Both our burgers were fantastic, tasty, and juicy! The burgers are 1/2 lb burgers! The frozen fries here are awesome ! We loved our lunch and we will be back!“

“Cannot recommend this place enough. My family and I were traveling from St. Louis back to Milwaukee and wanted some pizza and a place for the kids to move around. This place hit all the marks and really went above and beyond.To start, it was a shift change just after we ordered from the bar. The transition was seamless and both bartenders were attentive to our needs.My husband and I got to hang at the bar while are kids played pop a shot and other games. We ordered 3 different pizzas and the meatballs. All of them were amazing in their own right and my husband loved the meatballs. My family especially enjoyed the Bianca. Unfortunately, there was a slight issue with that pizza, we brought it to the bartenders attention and within minutes the manager was over to apologize and make it right. He offered us another pizza to go, and we took him up on that knowing we still had a couple more hours on the road. They also removed the original pizza from the bill. Here’s where they really went above and beyond—we mistakenly left our credit card there, my husband paid but didn’t know that I gave my card to the bartender to hold. We didn’t realize we left the card until 45 mins into our trip. I was able to contact the restaurant and again within minutes the owner called me back. He took my information, gave me his cell number and ensured he would drop it in the mail come Monday. Not only was the food amazing, the staff attentive and the atmosphere perfect for our kids, it’s clear that these are a great group of people. I usually get their personal pizza combo, substituting their cheesy bread sticks for another pizza and ask them to clean-cut it as I'm vegetarian. All less than $10. “Please! Do not be surprised by the exterior. Mike's has a bit of a dive bar exterior (something that is actually a "positive" to me). They only do this because they don't have the staff to deal with all of the people who would flock here if they weren't deceived by appearances!We started with the Bubba Bites for our appetizer. They were not at all what I expected. I was imagining little pieces of breaded cheese balls, or something similar. Nope. Big pieces of delicious bread with an enormous amount of (delicious) cheese. WOW.I feel like by the time we got to the pizza (which makes big claims, like "famous"), Mike was just showing off. I can NOT think of a better pizza that I've ever had.On top of it all, Victoria was the friendliest hostess one could hope for. “We stopped in Oglesby for the night as we traveled from Wis to Florida. ZomNye't is one of the nicest bartenders we've ever met. So friendly and efficient too. She constantly scans the bar for anyone needing service. The prices are great, the place is clean and free pool and jukebox the night we were there. They do not have food ( frozen pizza only) so we went across the street for great Mexican and ended up going back to Claudette's for an after dinner drink. Can't wait to stop next time we are passing through.“
“I've lived in the area for 41 years and this is one of my favorite pizza places. They got the sweet sauce with that NY style dough and a perfect balance of soft and crispy crust. And, everytime I order they say 20-25mins for pickup, and that is exactly when it is done! Highly recommended!“

After many years of getting square cut pizza, though, I was told it was no longer available? I wasn't sure I understand why, but the pizza maker agreed to do it by hand. He did a good job.
