“Went for early dinner tonight I had raw oysters for an appetizer! They were so fresh and tasted delicious. My boyfriend had the tortellini’s, my son had kid’s quesadillas, and I had 1/2 seafood chowder soup 1/2 salad. Everything tasted delicious. Our waitress I didn’t catch her name but she was awesome! We will definitely be back!“

“1st time here, I drove 1 1/2 hours to get here and I'll tell you what. I would of drove 3 hours 1 way. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. I was greeted at the door and seated promptly. “Came from Chicago to Starved Rock and tried Sam’s Pizza. We paid 1,500$(discounted from 9,532$) for the most rich and flavorful Cheese Pizza I’ve ever had. Please if you come here respect this man’s craft. He is just one man and he makes the dough and sauce himself. Sam’s a bit hard to understand but he’s hilarious and friendly. Treat Sam as if you were in his home, and enjoy a delicious pizza.“

“Arrived around two o’clock on a Monday afternoon. It was a warm and beautiful fall day so we chose to sit outside. It was busier than normal for a Monday, but we weren’t in a hurry anyway. The wait staff worked hard. I ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. My wife ordered the chicken strips. Each entree came with fries. Mine came with lettuce, onion, tomato slice, and pickles. Unfortunately, there were so many french fries that most of the onion, the slice of tomato, and the pickles were all buried, as you can see in the photo. I didn’t even realize they were there until I had eaten some of the fries. The fries were kind of bland, there was no seasoning on them at all. The breaded pork tenderloin was delicious and quite large. The chicken tenders entree was more than enough for my wife, so we brought it home along with half of the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Bottom line, I would eat there again, but I only gave it four stars because the french fries covered up the toppings for my sandwich. Attention to detail people!“

“Waitress was friendly and helpful. Service was a bit disjointed. The other couple ordered sandwiches and had to wait 5 plus minutes to get their food after we got ours. The pizza was good but the chucks parm sandwich got big ratings from our dining companions as they split sandwiches. The half and half was also good.“

“A wonderful place full of different dishes of oriental food, the bathrooms in excellent condition, clean and very tidy, the bad thing is that the waitresses are almost running away giving you the ticket long before you finish eating and a little abrupt in their interaction with the customers, in the end, the rude cashier yelling at me on the street just as I was getting into my car because by mistake I grabbed the ticket that should be kept for them. ?“
