“The service is always as warm as the dishes. The food is fusion and they make it work so well! My new favorite (replacing the shrimp tacos with makhni sauce) is the shorba (spicy tomato soup) with paneer sliders (beautiful umami grilled cheese).“

“Best Indo-Pak to-go restaurant out here in the Grayslake/Libertyville area. Ali’s prices are very reasonable and the taste is exceptional. I’ve been a regular customer of his and would highly recommend.
PS: Get the Chicken Tikka Masala on his Wednesday specials and thank me later. Chicken Biriyani is my other favorite, the meat is cooked to perfection everytime with the right amount of spices.“

“Must-Read-Review!
If you're a fan of flavorful and aromatic dishes, the Hyderabadi Biryani is a must-try. From the first bite, you'll be transported to a world of rich, vibrant spices and tender, perfectly cooked meat. This biryani boasts a harmonious blend of saffron, cardamom, and cloves, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate. The rice is fragrant and fluffy, with each grain perfectly separated and infused with the savory depth of the biryani's spices. The garnish of fried onions and fresh coriander adds an extra layer of texture and freshness. Served with a cooling raita or a tangy salan, this biryani is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Every aspect of this dish is executed with precision and passion, making it a true five-star experience.“

“I had the pleasure of dining at Rivaj, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. The service was top-notch - they were attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food. Oh, the food! Every dish we ordered was expertly prepared, presented, and bursting with flavor. We started with the Paneer Pakora, which was crispy, spicy, and addictive. For my main course, I opted for Malai Kofta, which was cooked to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. And don't even get me started on the Carrot Halwa - it was the perfect sweet treat to cap off the meal. What truly impressed me, though, was the attention to detail and commitment to quality that Rivaj embodies. From the freshly baked bread to the carefully curated wine list, every aspect of the dining experience has been thoughtfully considered. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than Rivaj. I'll be back, and soon! The highlight is exceptional service, outstanding cuisine, cozy atmosphere.“

“Very authentic and reasonably priced for quality“
“I came here thinking it was an “asian market” and I suppose it is, but east asian! Was super impressed by the service and the Indian food selection. They didn’t have all the ingredients I wanted to make my Chinese lo mein noodles but I picked up some chai and masala packets. If only my eating window were open I would have stayed to try some of the home cooked food. It smelled delicious! Will be back!“
“We catered the butter chicken, tandoori roti, and masala rice and the food was delicious! It wasn’t heavy cream based. The portion sizes were good compared to a lot of other Indian restaurants. Highly recommended! Definitely will be ordering again!“
