“We held a family funeral lunch at Lino’s. The staff was welcoming, attentive and very friendly as they took care of our party, which filled their banquet room. We had a couple of chicken dishes, a couple of vegetable dishes, a garden salad, potatoes, and cannoli for dessert. Our guests raved about the food, which was delicious and hot! We could not be more enthusiastic in our recommendation of Lino‘s!“

“I have been dining at Lou's since the 1st pizza joint opened in 1971. The thjn crust order i received today shows how they took the shrink-flation game with their pizzas. I took a picture of the scant sausage toppings as opposed to how Lou's dressed their pies in the past. Note that there is only one piece of sausage per piece. I have been ordering thin and deep dish for years, and the cost cutting shows! I would rather pay an extra buck or two and get what I have loved for years. Sad...“

The first time I went, I got the Ruben and a Guinness which was amazing and packed full of beef and layered with Swiss cheese and Sour Kraut. The second time I went and got the Buffalo Chicken Pizza which lived up to the bar set by the Ruben. I got another Guinness and a Basil Hayden and Basil Hayden Toasted both neat and with water backs. While enjoying my drink I had an amazing chat with the bartender, who is very knowledgeable about mixology.

Overall, the best place in all of northern Illinois to get a drink and food with family and friends.“

Oh... and....Our meals were served Hot....not cold....HOT...out of the oven.....again, the way a meal should be served! HOT!!! ha ha ha...The ambience was fun and the view of the water from our vantage point was just breathtaking!!! Our server Derrick was such a nice young man! He was professional, made certain that we were ok, and went back and forth many times for those extra things that we needed for our meal!!! I'm certain that it was very hectic for all of the servers during the fest, but they handled the crowds so well!!! Again, we were just thrilled to have stumbled on Joanie's!!! I had a large pickup order today for myself and my family and when I arrived the kitchen manager came out to describe that they had to restart one of the pizzas, offering to let me go now with the rest of my order - plus the messup free for extra snackage - and that he would come deliver the remake himself in a bit so I didn’t have to wait. “We have live in the area for a while now and always meaning to stop in.
Saturday (5/30) my wife and I and another couple finally made it, just for drinks as we were coming for dinner.
Atmosphere and the crowd was great, everyone friendly and very welcoming.
The best part was the prices, each one of us had 3-5 drinks and the bill came to only $35, this has to be the most reasonably priced bar in the area, and we weren’t drinking draft beer, mixed drinks and the ladies had some wine.
