“Randomly found this place on the way back to Destin, Florida when my kids were hungry for some breakfast. Looks like it's primary function is a bar, but really cool feel and Dave the owner was fantastic. My kids are both extremely picky eaters and told me it was the best grilled cheese and cheeseburger they ever had. Yes, that's what I let them have for breakfast 🙂 anyway, Dave gave them some candy on the way out and gave us all a pen from the restaurant with its name. Just a great down-to-earth little Cafe in the farm fields of Illinois. Heads up, cash only. They did have an ATM there for me though. Loved it!”

“What a fun gem about 1 hour 30 minutes from the house. Good home cooking and homemade pies. It feels like your walking into a cozy home kitchen. Good meeting point between Decatur Il and Rockford Il. Not far off the 39”

“We ordered chicken for a large 4 th of July Party yesterday, and everyone complimented how excellent the chicken was! Many of our guests were from out of state or from Chicago and they will be adding Steve and Nancy's to their restaurant list when they are back in town! Steve was very accommodating to work with and we will for sure be ordering from there any event we have in the future!! Thank you so much!!”

“I got chicken dinners to go. Was recommended by a family member. I had never been there before. The flavor of the chicken was good. I ordered one with a baked potato and one with an order of American fries. I was disappointed in both potato choices. One was very greasy and one was overcooked. The salads were good. So I got plenty to eat. The price was good. Not too expensive, about average with the area.”

“We stopped for an afternoon snack and we all loved our treats. I had the brownie sundae, my son had soft serve chocolate ice cream with sprinkles, and my husband had a lemon shake-up. Prices were also lower than what I expected. We will be back!”

“Absolutely the best pizza place I’ve had so far. We had a school team of 12 arrive and even without reservation, they were very welcoming and accommodating. Service is absolutely PHENOMENAL. It’s a cozy family environment and everything was perfect. The staff, especially Mandy and Paula were amazing and just about as sweet as people can get. Food was BEYOND amazing as well, came out piping hot, very fresh and honestly worth every dollar. I recommend this place to anyone traveling through or staying near. Super close to the freeway, 3 minutes off the road.”
