“The food was good not what I am used to. I am from New England. Since moving to Illinois, I crave foods from back home. The cashier was very pleasant. The shrimp lo mein was very tasty. Love the sweet and sour chicken. Sweet and sour ribswere good. Did not care for the pork fried rice. Egg roll was over cooked. I would still go back and get the food we enjoyed.“

“I was going to look at the menu to order and noticed the overall 3 star review. I've been ordering from this location for a few years now and wondered what's up with that. I have never received anything from this restaurant that wasn't excellent. I'm appalled at these one star ratings and wonder if somebody's planting bad reviews to help their own business. Order whatever you like, all their food is excellent compared to the other Chinese restaurants in the area.

“I was in the Rockford area, wanted to grab some Chinese food to go, and decided to give it a try at China Wok. Didn't know that its actually located inside Cherry Valley Mall's food court.

When I was there, they really give generous samples to try on - important for me that's really particular about Chinese food.

Decided to buy 5 different menus from them and WOW! My kids love them, and they were asking for more. I told them its a 1.5 - 2 hours drive from where we are. But, the next time we are in Rockford, will definitely grab it again. Here are the menus that I tried and recommended (in order of preference according to my kids):

1. Black Pepper Chicken,
2. Pepper Steak (just a little spicy for kids - but that's prob due to the black pepper),
2. Singapore Chicken (spicy, but its so good! - its on 3rd selection but that's probably because one of my kid doesn't eat spicy - however, Pepper Steak & Singapore Chicken would rank the same!),
4. Honey Chicken (some said its Orange Chicken - but its honey chicken),
5. Plain Mushroom (Kids don't really eat mushroom, but according to me & my wife, its SO GOOD!)

Last but not least, the shrimp fried rice looks really good too, but we didn't get to try this cause its our first time. But will do at the next chance.

“Everything we got tonight was fantastic! I was so hungry when we went in and she was so patient while we waited to decide. We did get a variety. There wasn’t anything that was on, it was all great. Crab Rangoon was great. One of the better egg rolls I had. Didn’t need any sauce. My girl got orange chicken and that was delicious. I got the Mongolian beef and Curry Chicken, both were phenomenal. I can’t wait to try their other food. Prices are very reasonable. I will be ordering again soon. Lung Fung is my new Jam!“

“Not sure how the rating isn't higher but I suppose everyone has a different experience. Mine was great. Delivery was fast (20 min) early than expected. Food was hot and good. Packed the shrimp fried rice completely and crab ragoon had a good number in the order. Delivery driver followed instructions in my order and was friendly upon delivery. Expensive but delivery usually is.“

“They hire teens who like to cut around the edges. A hour and a half before close they dumped two 5 gallon bucks of water and just dumped it on the kitchen floor where food was openly exposed and in the middle of being cooked. osha would have had a conniption fit and they would have for surely been fined. The poor workers were having to walk through giant huge puddles of water. When I gently and quietly approached the situation, the woman who was probably about 20ish was beyond rude as hell and extremely defensive!!!! For no reason she got absolutely hostile. She told me that if I didn’t like it I can get a refund and go get dinner somewhere else. Needles to say they stopped mopping, but there were still giant puddles on the ground that staff had to walk through…when I got my food after waiting for it to get cooked, I quickly left as I was already upset just by the way that the employee decided to rudely interact with me. And when I got home they had unfortunately ruined my entire meal…. They had given me someone else’s order and it was everything that I would not eat or order! Such a disappointment… if I was you I would go to the one on Perryville. At least the staff will politely, courteously and respectfully interact with you and treat as if you are a human being. I’ll take that over the way I was treated and how my order was messed up, any day. I surely hope that the woman who interacted with me that evening truly doesn’t continue to speak down and degrading to her customers on the regular. If she does she needs a hard reality check, and she absolutely doesn’t not belong working anywhere near a restaurant that requires hospitality… as far as I’m concerned she belongs in the back washing dishes or cutting vegetables. Anything other than interacting with customers. I fear if she remains at the specific location even though it is convenient and right there, she will run this establishment greatly into the ground and extremely quickly, if it doesn’t get handled in a timely manner. Sad that I lost one of my favorite restaurant locations to go to.“

“First time I have been here. Showed up about 720 730 at night. I personally thought the food was good. The staff was friendly, brought me soda when I was getting low. Cleaning and also switching out pans as per requirement from the health department. Picked up buffet plates right away. I seen other people's reviews. I don't agree with them. Talking about the fish tanks being dirty, not having water in the turtle tank. Well I hate to say the turtle tanks are not suppose to be full. I thought the restaurant had great food and looked very clean. I normally don't give reviews, but I felt they needed to be mentioned and have a great review.“
