“11/10 would recommend Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I ordered from them earlier today and while I was so excited for my food, my doordasher took it upon themselves to keep their food for themselves. However, I was connected to a a manger at the Machesney Park Location and she took it upon herself to give a full refund. It wasn’t her problem to handle, but she did any ways and I am so thankful. It’s nice to know that there are some people that will right wrongs they had no part in. I hope this store is blessed beyond belief.”

“Excellent and helpful staff. Friday fish is one of the best in the area. My mom loves the Walleye and Blue Gill. And she is picky about her fish. My sister is not a fan of fish so she gets the chicken sandwich and says it is one of the best she has ever had.”

“So for about a year, my husband and I have driven by this place and we always say we’re gonna stop in there and check it out thinking it was a hot dog place. We just never did. We had some running around to do in the area and I finally said to him, let’s go check out the hot dog place 😃 So we went in there and we were shocked to see it wasn’t a hotdog place at all!🤣 We never paid attention to the fact that the sign says “pizza and pub”😂 They had a fantastic bar, daily special’s, and the food was outstanding. Of course we had to come back the next day for lunch again to get more fantastic food! The bartenders are awesome and we even got to meet one of the owners who sat and talked to us for a while. I definitely recommend this place and wow most people think bar food is just average. This place is definitely not average. It’s probably the best bar, food and drinks in the area! I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this little place as I can see it growing and holding events in the future, including more bands and outdoor activities. It definitely goes above and beyond normal bar food. They are definitely the Top Dog Pub in the area! 😁”

“Phenomenal food fish fry and apps were great. Aside from the great food the atmosphere was amazing. Great place for family night as well. The grinch was walking and around and my kids loved it. They were a little unsettled and hyper active, but once the grinch came out they were so focused on them and they were so excited. Truly a great experience. If you want good food and a great experience this is the spot. Keep up the great work we WILL be back for more.”

“I used to be a die hard subway dan, then I wanted a more homemade fresh tasting sub and I was off to find that shop. Visiting many small sub shops to big chain shops, then I was hooked on Jimmy John's for a while till I heard people brag about Jersey Mike's and saw commercials on social media so decides to stop in at my Local Jersey Mike's, the smell was awesome, people were friendly and place was clean, got the original italin with everything on it and man you can see the freshness and quality of the products, my first bite was truly amazing and brought me back to a time back in the late 80's to this small mom and pop sub shop by my house. I found my go to sub shop and I rate Jersey Mike's better than the sub shop currently in operation.”

“😞 bakery is by far the best but they messed up our order and didn’t tape and fold the box correctly. The box folded onto the cake and it was destroyed when we got home. It at least was tasty.”

“Other than the potato oles having way to much salt on them and the burrito being very spicy, more than needed, we LOVE Taco John's.
The bacon ranch chicken wrap is to die for at Taco John's! No one makes one that can compare. I've had them at every fast food, practically and McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's don't come close!
Plus, the Apple Grandes are unlike AMAZING!
My hubby and his family have been going to Taco John's ( mostly the one in Beloit) since the early 70's. And, they'd always get multiple Apple Grandes each because they are soooooo 😋 yummy!”

“The service was fast and the orders were made to perfection. You can order in person or through the app. You can customize any drink and even make healthier options if needed.”

“No frills, no food, though they sometimes have a food truck outside. Dive with pool table, darts, slots. Crowd is mixed, lot of older folks. Pretty empty earlier but fills out at night. Drinks are very reasonably priced, staff is friendly. Outdoor heated smoking area. TVs usually playing a sports game. Karaoke every night at 830, (730 every other weds). They also host events occasionally that are lots of fun.”

“Starbucks, in general, has been around for awhile but it was nice to be in a newer store. This location is extremely clean, the staff friendly and informative. They made great suggestions for the Sage and Blackberry refresher when it was around.

What made me super excited, and may seem odd to some, is the fact that they offer glasses and mugs if you're staying in to drink. This was something I missed in a lot of places and, if I'm being honest, makes me want to come back for that aspect alone.”

Take out Saturday 11/1. Food was absolutely terrible, to the point I threw my patty melt out after a single bite. My fries were undercooked, and were legitamately inedible. My milkshake was supposed to be peanut butter, but was made as chocolate. Extremely dissapointed, especially for 20$.

Would greatly appreciate a refund, actually. As I did not eat this meal and was wasted out on my dinner. Tried calling and no help.”
