“Awesome Veteran-owned brewery! Great beer, live music, and a comfortable and fun atmosphere. Dog friendly, kid friendly, food trucks and live music on weekends. Plenty of events and things to do. Lots of room in the place. I highly recommend Steam Hollow brewery to everyone.“

“Small mom and pop owned and the owners are great. They remember our drink preferences. We prefer this place over some big fancy restaurant because to us it’s about the food. The chips and salsa are the BEST in Kankakee county! The food always has tons of flavor and extremely reasonable prices. We hope that never changes.“

“my total was $21.68, and i put three quarters in my pocket but accidentally handed her only two when i went to pay. she asked if i had the rest of the change, but if not that’s ok. I realized I had short changed her and gave her the quarter 😅but I thought it was very very nice of her to let it a couple of cents slide. great food!!“

“They have such a welcoming crew. When you walk in, you get a welcome in and smile each and every time! I have had many items on their menu, and have never been disappointed!! My last advice is try the Campfire Sauce on anything, its homemade and delish!!“

“Happy Pig has very reliable food and a great atmosphere.
Justin is usually bartender when I go in. And the way he serves everyone with such great care and personability is top tier. I say this having worked the same position myself.
He is taking care of everyone at the bar, as well as making all of the servers drinks at the same time- all while keeping a professional ere with his interactions the entire time. I was there this morning and he handled everything masterfully, it was very impressive.
I'd recommend the Hoppy Pig generall but with staff like Justin it makes it a 5 star.“

“stopped by for lunch, we got the crispy brussel sprouts, herb foccacia chicken sandwich, tomato vodka chicken rigatoni and french onion soup to eat; a stormy night, and a permenent vacation to drink. everything blew us away. would rate 6/5 if i could. wish Brickstone Brewery was closer to where we live, itd be a regular stop. very reasonably priced and we both left with leftovers.“

“We had a very nice meal here. We didn’t go to this restaurant for many years, and we do need to visit here more frequently. The servers were quite earnest and very willing to help. “Sammy’s in Kankakee beats any other Sammy’s location. Hands down. It’s really rare for anything weird to happen to your order and the food is always fresh from this location. Delivery sometimes takes a long time but even then everything comes prepared perfectly. I would definitely give this place a try.“

“Our church group came in early on a Saturday morning to do a pancake fundraiser. We were warmly greeted by Edith. With was so kind and welcoming and very excited to be there for us so early. Liz was also very kind, only ever smiled, showed us around and made sure we got the ins and outs of the restaurant. From the beginning to the end, Applebee's staff is what made this an enjoyable first ever fundraiser experience! Food was delicious and prompt. Staff was eager to help and treated us all with such kindness. If you're looking for a fundraising opportunity this one is a no brainer! Applebees provides EVERYTHING, cooks, food, drinks, dinnerware, clean up, EVERYTHING! We will definitely be back as a group! Thank you Liz and Edith for helping us raise money for our Kids Ministry!

“I was in town for a baseball tournament and we stayed at an Airbnb nearby. We went around 9:30 on a Saturday morning, it was busy but we were seated within a few minutes. Our server was very friendly, the food came out fast & hot, was delicious. For 4 of us to eat/drinks, it was only $41! Definitely would go back to this little gem.“
