“YOOOO the gilty pig is insane! They have "popped up" at my farm a few times now, and each time I am amazed by the flavors and complexity they bring to "simple dishes". They take a brat and turn it into a full asian inspired meal. Now if the food wasnt enough, this truck could not be run by two better people. “I’ve been driving past Taco Boom Truck for what feels like forever, always catching a whiff of grilled meat or seeing a small line of people and thinking, “One day I’ll stop.” Well, I finally did, and man, I should’ve done it way sooner.
It’s a simple setup, parked off the road, colorful, and always smelling amazing. People were hanging out, eating, and the service was quick and friendly. The guy at the window even gave me some salsa tips when I told him it was my first time.
I went with two carne asada tacos. No exaggeration, the meat was so tender and juicy, with this really nice char on the edges. You could taste the seasoning in every bite, nothing overpowering, just that good mix of garlic, citrus, and smoky flavor. The tortillas were warm, soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together (no taco explosions, which is always a win).
The green salsa? Wild. It started off kind of mild, then hit with this spicy, peppery kick that crept up in the best way. It had some creamy avocado vibes too, which made it super addictive. Honestly, I kept dipping even after I ran out of taco.
If you’re in the mood for solid tacos that hit all the right notes, Taco Boom is 100% worth the stop. I already know I’ll be back.“

“The tacos here were AMAZING!!! For tacos shocked at even the presentation. Nothing better than coming across ppl who look like they enjoy what they do and these ppl definitely enjoy what they do. Long story short if you’re hungry Mon-Sat and on St Charles in Berkeley passing, worth checking out!!“

“Today CheSa was in my building The Franklin downtown and of course I had to support my own! I got the 4 cheese Mac/jerk chicken bowl. Not too spicy but had a nice kick. Chicken was tender. Only issue is the juice from the chicken made the Mac and Cheese runny at the bottom“

“Tribute in Villa Park is the coziest, quirky little night spot around! Tribute is not way off the beaten path located across the street from the Villa Park Historical museum and the Illinois Prairie Path.
When you're inside Tribute you just feel at home and you get a neighborly backyard party kind of feeling.
The staff is super friendly and they have a fun trivia night on Wednesdays.
There's a spacious outdoor patio and a cozy banquet/ meeting room with floor to ceiling windows that makes you feel like your outdoors.

“This place is located in the heart of my old neighborhood and the food is good. I have tried almost every potato they serve except one and I have no doubt I’m gonna like that one as well but my favorite is the pot roast potato. Everyone has their own taste to what is good but I will definitely say check them out. You won’t be disappointed.“

“All I can say is WOW! We found this place through a social media foodie review and the food did not disappoint! I think it was hands down some of the best Mexican cuisine we’ve ever had! Very friendly staff, extremely clean restaurant, and very fast service! 100/10 recommend!“
