“We had friends in town for the night and knew we would get a good meal and experience at Gaia. We sat outside so had to pause conversation for the passing BNSF and Metra trains, but that is all part of the ambiance. We had the arrancini special appetizer which had the perfect ratio of rice to filling. I had the halibut, and it was perfectly prepared with a piccata sauce and angel hair. Our friends enjoyed that the staff is familiar and all welcoming which adds to the neighborhood feel.“

“I have nothing but compliments for this wonderful establishment! My fiancé and I went out to dinner last night and had a taste for authentic Italian. I found this place online and read nothing but wonderful reviews about the food, and service. Located in downtown Westmont. Parking was so easy (right across the street), and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The manager Sergio greeted us with a huge smile, sat us, and told us a little about the restaurant. Our server Alysa was nothing short of amazing, knowledgeable, and gave us wonderful recommendations. We felt like family! All of the food is made in house, pastas, sauces, and even the wine and desserts! You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and tell that every single person puts so much care into making sure every customer is happy. The whole experience was wonderful, and it’s so nice to see small (not chain restaurants) are thriving. It’s been a long time since we had an experience like this at a restaurant and we appreciate their hospitality! I think we found our new date night spot! We will be back!! OFTEN! Huge sandwich at a decent price. I barely had time to put my credit card back in my wallet that my order was ready 🤪.
The beef is juicy and delicious. I also liked the hot peppers. I had mine with extra american cheese but it didn't really add much, the beef speaks for itself.“

“I’ve been eager to try Mortadeli since it first opened, and after hearing so many rave reviews, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you, everything everyone says about this place is spot on! First off, the food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is so tempting, it was hard to choose, but I went with the meatball sub and pasta salad. As someone whose grandmother made the best meatball sandwiches, my expectations were high – but Mortadeli’s version did not disappoint! It was fantastic. The pasta salad was also amazing, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere at Mortadeli is incredibly inviting – it strikes the perfect balance between classy and cozy. The staff are very friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your experience special. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and quick delivery of our food. One of the owners even took the time to chat with us a bit. Another pleasant surprise was the parking – I had my doubts at first, but we found a spot just around the corner with no problem at all. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be back. Mortadeli is a must-visit!“

“This was a Friday during rush hour. But waited too long for our first order of drinks. 2 martinis. Appetizers were good and came out at an exceptional time. Ordered our 2nd order of drinks ( glass of wine & martini ) at the same time with our entrees. Drinks did not come out until I was a couple bites away from finishing my entree! Ordered a glass of whisky neat, with my dessert which came out after some minutes receiving the dessert. I Usually have about 4-5 drinks with my dinner to try a couple of things. Would recommend maybe just getting a bottle of wine instead. Food is tasty and staff is nice.“

“My first time trying Giuliano’s! I picked up a pizza last evening and literally could not stop eating it. This is arguably the BEST pizza in the entire Chicago suburbs. I got thin crust with spinach and roasted red peppers. The sauce, cheese, and toppings were absolutely amazing. What a great find and will recommend to all my friends!!“

“This is a little gem of a restaurant. The chef was there without a waiter for the afternoon and it didn’t matter. His service was so great and we felt special to be able to be the only ones in the whole restaurant because of the timing. The food he cooked was delicious. “I have been coming to this location for a little over a year now and they just. don’t. miss. You walk in that front door and they are always ready to push out orders! I go so often I’m starting to think I annoy them a little 😂 all jokes aside, I have tried pizza from all over the state and others too, but nothing can compare to a slice from Anthony B’s. They never have the pizza just sitting it’s always fresh and piping hot. It’s HONESTLY the BEST PIZZA I have ever tasted in my life. I find myself coming back at least once a week (or more 😂) if you feel like you’ve never tasted REAL pizza come to Anthony B’s, you’ll never want a slice from anywhere else. “I owe the Jullianni's family an apology. I've been ordering here since 2009 when I moved to Palos and the food is always great. I always get delivery and the food is always hot, on time, and delicious. On top of that, their prices are extremely resonable, especially in today's economy. I should gave given this place a 5 star review 15 years ago. Restaurants like this are rare these days. The Palos community is very fortunate to have a local place like Jullianni's“

“Our party of 6 dined at Roberto's for the first time. As it was on a busy Saturday night, the service was on the slower side. However, we all enjoyed our entrees - 2 whitefish, 1 salmon, 1 veggie lasagna, 1 eggplant parm and 1 Zuppa di Pesce. The cost of our meals was fair. They also have a very nice and extensive wine list.“

“This past weekend a group ( 14 ) of us experienced a wonderful evening at Pazzi Di Pizza in Elmhurst. It was a fun get-together that was enhanced by great appetizers and varied, delicious pizzas. We also were served by some of the best and most courteous staff we have ever experienced. Marco, the Manager, who attentively scheduled our evening, came over, introduced himself, inquired about our needs, and then introduced us to Charlie, our evening's server. Charlie was exceptional!! It was our second time meeting at this venue, and I highly recommend a visit!“

“One of our favorite festivals to attend is Taste of Melrose Park. They have some Hispanic food, Italian, and a little polish. When you enter on either side they have security and police officers with metal detectors. Coming in from 25th Avenue they have a section of carnival rides. As you go towards the food you pass through tents that have local vendors from Car dealership to clothes. They also have some entertainment from time to time near the information booth. You pass that then you have the drinks booth were you need tickets to purchase drinks then you enter the food tents area. They do have outdoor bathrooms to use and some dessert tents. Favorite was the meatball sandwhichs the tacos and the tres Leche. Pass that they have the stage area for the live music at night. They also have stand up tables within the middle of the food tent and near the washrooms they have a seating area for customers and they have a tent for seniors as well.“

“Visited Ela’s restaurant in Western Springs over the weekend. On Sunday they have a half off pizza special. Highly recommend the pizza. It is a thicker dough, but it is absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the calamari which was just as good. Service from Rebecca was exceptional and overall good experience.“

“We recently hosted a dinner event here, and from planning to the event itself, I cannot say how pleased I am we chose Il Vicolo. Vito worked with us on planning the menu, and both he and the staff we incredibly accommodating in terms of setting up their semi-private room for our event. The space itself, especially the back room, is gorgeous and intimate, and the food is spectacular. On top of this, entire waitstaff were incredibly friendly and ensured our guests were welcomed and taken care of well.

I’ll also note I had the opportunity to dine at Il Vicolo on my own, and that too was a wonderful experience. I had salad, a small appetizer, pizza, and dessert all of which were delicious. The service was excellent then as well, and the pacing was great. Time was given for each of the courses without it ever feeling like things were moving too slowly. The TL;DR of that being that I always had food to be eating without ever feeling like my plates were stacking up!

Finally, with the village lot just in back, parking is a breeze if you can’t walk or bike there. Highly recommend stopping in when you have the opportunity!“
