“I haven’t been here in years. I looked online for family deals on Mondays, and I saw the family night on Monday night. So I checked the menu online, and found the Milan Happy Joes has a family special, for $25 and it comes with pizza and pop. Okay. So I call, and order ahead. I honestly think I could have clarified exactly what the special was, but in my defense, I thought I was ordering what the menu showed so it didn’t occur to me to verify. Plus, for years, it’s always been that. Hind sight is always 20/20.
When we arrived, she said drinks were not included, but what would we like. I’m stunned. She got our drinks. I was thinking about this, and my husband came back from the restroom and I let him know that actually the family special is evidently $27.99 and comes with breadsticks and cinnamon pizza. Drinks are not included. So my husband talked to a manager. To which the manager replied, well that’s a Google doc. Which. That is incorrect, Google was the search engine I used….. he also said well that’s Google and not happy joes. So I said okay, let me show you how I got here. So I went to happy joes, clicked deals, and it asked for participating locations. I clicked Illinois, then I clicked Milan. From there, I clicked menu. I screenshotted the menu, and the home page of my phone to show the date I was here, October 6, 2025. Technically I could sue happy joes for them not honoring their contract. However that’s silly and I’m not going to do that. BUT, the menu should reflect what they are selling, and it should reflect correctly.
So, once the manager realizes, that I wasn’t on a “Google docs” as he so put it, whatever that is……he told me he is not responsible for corporate and what they put on their menu. He also said that it’s a lot of food, and I can’t expect that price listed. (I didn’t realize what I was ordering, I thought the family special was JUST pizza and pop)
So. With all that said,
We had, a small pepperoni. A half nacho Joe, and half sausage. The special comes with a tiny cinnamon pizza, and a cheese bread with marinara sauce.
Not one single complaint with the food. Everything was hot, and fresh. I’ve actually never had the cheese bread, or the cinnamon bread, and I can see why they would be on the special, because they were soooo good and possibly the stars of the show. It SHOULD be reflected on the menu.
Would I come here again? I want to say yes, because it’s good, and nostalgic. I just have to pray about my attitude in regards to the conversation I had with the manager, because he made me feel as if I, was the problem.“

The staff are almost always high school kids but they are clean cut and friendly and provide great service.
The ice cream is hands down the best in a large area. You might have to go to Wisconsin to find any better.
It is a decent price and the place is always clean with a friendly atmosphere.“

“Have enough people not ranted and raved about this place. I'm already dreaming about the next time I have their banana graham ice cream. Top tier stuff, can't imagine why you would go anywhere else for ice cream if you live anywhere near the quad cities. I'm thankful I'm 2 hours away, otherwise I'd find myself here way too often.“

“The ice cream is amazing. The place is a gem, but I can no longer go there anymore because I cannot get my favorite candy. They don’t want to sell me the cherry the orange or the blue raspberries out of the sour taffy bulk, they want me to BUY ALL THE YELLO W AND GREEN TAFFY before I can buy any other flavors? I can’t purchase any other colors until I buy all the yellow and green? Literally they will not bring out another bag until I purchase every yellow or green one there! I feel singled out! 🤣“

“I freaking love whitey's! We come almost every other day and i personally get a 1.5 qt and eat it all right there! Their ice-cream is the best in the widwest! Shout out whitey's! The workers are great and they are all happy to see us when we walk in! They ask what flavor today! Ella and Tyler deserve a raise! In fact all of the workers do! (sorry I forgot most of the names) but this is our go to location the people are great and the ice cream is great! All around a great place!“

“Froyo bars can really be hit or miss. Peachwave is definitely a hit!
We 100% prefer Peachwave to other, closer froyo bars. Why? It's cleaner. Like, way cleaner. You get to put your own toppings on, including syrups. The toppings are better (e.g., hot fudge vs chocolate syrup). The flavors are great. The staff is friendly. And the prices are still super reasonable.
Whenever the timing lines up and Peachwave is open while we're nearby, we stop in for at least 4oz of deliciousness.“

“Can we talk about the pumpkin graham, a.k.a. pumpkin pie shake, for a moment? It’s not that often that you get something so good you would give it your phone number, but the pumpkin pie shake is SO GOOD, I would give it my phone number and let it meet my parents. I suppose I should’ve taken a picture so I could post it here, but it already did the walk of shame to my stomach.
The shake is a perfect blend of pumpkin/pumpkin spices and the simply delightful Graham Central Station ice cream. Topped with some whipped cream and additional spices for garnish, this is served with a domed lid. I highly recommend this, it will not disappoint.“

“Sometimes there sold out of cookies. But that’s ight. The employees seem sad sometimes. But that’s probably because they have to deal with some crappy customers. They also have another option if there out of a cookie, or will compensate somehow. The one thing that I’m not a big fan of, is sometimes the store looks a bit dirty. Otherwise, the employees try their best, and the cookies are pretty good. If they have them.“
