“Whitey's is a staple in the Quad City area with some of the best ice cream in the Midwest. They have so many flavors to choose from and they are so delicious. You can get a shake, a malt, or just scoops in a cup, a regular cone or a waffle cone. So many combinations you can do that it would take you years to do all of them.
Now for this location this is our families go to location since it's the closest to our house. Let me tell you the kids that work at this location are so friendly, helpful and wonderful to deal with. They are so polite and willing and eager to help you when you're next. They are fun to talk to as well.
Love the new coolers they put in to grab ice cream or ice cream cakes to go. It's a very clean place and all the time. And the new sit down area outside is nice addition for a lot room to enjoy your ice cream treat. This ice cream and this location is a must visit you won't be disappointed whatsoever.“

“I just went and got an extra large scoop of Mississippi mud and I absolutely enjoyed it and my experience was even better because of Izzy she was an incredible and happy and joyful employee every time she works, I will be in there keep up the good work, Whiteys fam! Izzy is also very clean“

“What a can I say, this ice cream parlor always brings a smile to my face when we go up to the Quad cities. The almond joy is my favorite flavor. Unfortunately, they don’t pre-make the pint but they can pack for you at the double the cost. But I get it. It’s worth it. Really delicious.“

“The ice cream is amazing. The place is a gem, but I can no longer go there anymore because I cannot get my favorite candy. They don’t want to sell me the cherry the orange or the blue raspberries out of the sour taffy bulk, they want me to BUY ALL THE YELLO W AND GREEN TAFFY before I can buy any other flavors? I can’t purchase any other colors until I buy all the yellow and green? Literally they will not bring out another bag until I purchase every yellow or green one there! I feel singled out! 🤣“

“The best place to get ice cream in the QC amazing ice cream. Better than Dairy Queen by a long shot. Get the chocolate fudge brownie shake it is so good. They are not to expensive and they have an outdoor seating area. They do have a small bathroom in the bac on that is kind of dirty with a lot of locks on it. But overall Whitey's is the best ice cream place in the Midwest.“

“Peachwave is our absolute favorite spot to hit on school early-out days! We love taking advantage of the discount they offer for students and families—it’s such a great way to reward the kids and get a mid-week treat without breaking the bank.

“Crumbl has some of the most creative and tasty cookies around. I love trying the rotating flavors each week, there’s always something new to enjoy. The cookies are soft and fresh, and the presentation is always on point. My only complaint is that they can be a bit pricey, and sometimes the cookies are a little too sweet for my taste. Still, it’s a great treat and worth stopping by when you want a fun dessert.“

“I love Culver's Concrete Mixers especially the Heath Bat mixer. I received a free coupon for Culver's Cheese Curds. Thought would try them. Honestly there's nothing to wright home about. I love cheese curds but these are not so great personally I wouldn't bother unless you're willing to dip them in a lot a lot of sauce.“

“I placed a takeout order this evening and the young women I believe her name was Lexie working did not only a phenomenal job with our food but had the brightest customer service. Nowadays you don’t run into great service like that too well but tonight I did! Her bosses should be very pleased and the food was great so that was an even bigger plus“

“Always love the strawberry sundaes. Blizzards are good most of the time. Last year we had one that couldn't be turned upside down. This time it turned upside down but for one that is supposed to have strawberry in it, it barely had any. It had the chocolate. But this normally it's really pink from the strawberry in it. This case it was hardly any pink. So most of the time it's great“

“I just want to thank the staff, our car broke down in the drive through. We did not know this would happen, we were incredibly embarrassed by it. The staff was so sweet to us about the whole situation even if it was a huge inconvenience. The customers were not so understanding and nice but the staff was. We wanted to thank them.“

“I haven’t been here in years. I looked online for family deals on Mondays, and I saw the family night on Monday night. So I checked the menu online, and found the Milan Happy Joes has a family special, for $25 and it comes with pizza and pop. Okay. So I call, and order ahead. I honestly think I could have clarified exactly what the special was, but in my defense, I thought I was ordering what the menu showed so it didn’t occur to me to verify. Plus, for years, it’s always been that. Hind sight is always 20/20.
When we arrived, she said drinks were not included, but what would we like. I’m stunned. She got our drinks. I was thinking about this, and my husband came back from the restroom and I let him know that actually the family special is evidently $27.99 and comes with breadsticks and cinnamon pizza. Drinks are not included. So my husband talked to a manager. To which the manager replied, well that’s a Google doc. Which. That is incorrect, Google was the search engine I used….. he also said well that’s Google and not happy joes. So I said okay, let me show you how I got here. So I went to happy joes, clicked deals, and it asked for participating locations. I clicked Illinois, then I clicked Milan. From there, I clicked menu. I screenshotted the menu, and the home page of my phone to show the date I was here, October 6, 2025. Technically I could sue happy joes for them not honoring their contract. However that’s silly and I’m not going to do that. BUT, the menu should reflect what they are selling, and it should reflect correctly.
So, once the manager realizes, that I wasn’t on a “Google docs” as he so put it, whatever that is……he told me he is not responsible for corporate and what they put on their menu. He also said that it’s a lot of food, and I can’t expect that price listed. (I didn’t realize what I was ordering, I thought the family special was JUST pizza and pop)
So. With all that said,
We had, a small pepperoni. A half nacho Joe, and half sausage. The special comes with a tiny cinnamon pizza, and a cheese bread with marinara sauce.
Not one single complaint with the food. Everything was hot, and fresh. I’ve actually never had the cheese bread, or the cinnamon bread, and I can see why they would be on the special, because they were soooo good and possibly the stars of the show. It SHOULD be reflected on the menu.
Would I come here again? I want to say yes, because it’s good, and nostalgic. I just have to pray about my attitude in regards to the conversation I had with the manager, because he made me feel as if I, was the problem.“

June 1st 2026, picked up my ice cream cake, their signature called Desire,and OMG delicious. I put the order in Friday, picked it up after 1pm and it was already. The guy was very nice, easy going and helpful. He always is!! This is a signature ice cream cake, I can eat every 2 weeks!! It's a summer must have for the kids after the pool.“

“This particular Culver's on Jersey Ridge is more of the exception of all the Culver's where I've dined.
The women's bathroom was dirty and the trashcan was overflowing. The cashew salad that was ordered had no cashews. I was handed a cup of cashews after I complained. The soda fountain area had run out of regular lids (both chutes) although someone came by a little later and filled them up.“

“I had 10 hungry guys at work that wanted pizza and we all agreed on this location. I ordered the pizza to be delivered at noon. I received an email confirmation and watched the order progress on their website. The delivery was made at noon...exactly, by a delivery guy that was actually happy. All 5 pizzas were cooked to perfection. I am not typically a Happy Joe's guy, but that may change after this. This was the best experience I have probably ever had with a pizza order.“
