“I haven’t been here in years. I looked online for family deals on Mondays, and I saw the family night on Monday night. So I checked the menu online, and found the Milan Happy Joes has a family special, for $25 and it comes with pizza and pop. Okay. So I call, and order ahead. I honestly think I could have clarified exactly what the special was, but in my defense, I thought I was ordering what the menu showed so it didn’t occur to me to verify. Plus, for years, it’s always been that. Hind sight is always 20/20.
When we arrived, she said drinks were not included, but what would we like. I’m stunned. She got our drinks. I was thinking about this, and my husband came back from the restroom and I let him know that actually the family special is evidently $27.99 and comes with breadsticks and cinnamon pizza. Drinks are not included. So my husband talked to a manager. To which the manager replied, well that’s a Google doc. Which. That is incorrect, Google was the search engine I used….. he also said well that’s Google and not happy joes. So I said okay, let me show you how I got here. So I went to happy joes, clicked deals, and it asked for participating locations. I clicked Illinois, then I clicked Milan. From there, I clicked menu. I screenshotted the menu, and the home page of my phone to show the date I was here, October 6, 2025. Technically I could sue happy joes for them not honoring their contract. However that’s silly and I’m not going to do that. BUT, the menu should reflect what they are selling, and it should reflect correctly.
So, once the manager realizes, that I wasn’t on a “Google docs” as he so put it, whatever that is……he told me he is not responsible for corporate and what they put on their menu. He also said that it’s a lot of food, and I can’t expect that price listed. (I didn’t realize what I was ordering, I thought the family special was JUST pizza and pop)
So. With all that said,
We had, a small pepperoni. A half nacho Joe, and half sausage. The special comes with a tiny cinnamon pizza, and a cheese bread with marinara sauce.
Not one single complaint with the food. Everything was hot, and fresh. I’ve actually never had the cheese bread, or the cinnamon bread, and I can see why they would be on the special, because they were soooo good and possibly the stars of the show. It SHOULD be reflected on the menu.
Would I come here again? I want to say yes, because it’s good, and nostalgic. I just have to pray about my attitude in regards to the conversation I had with the manager, because he made me feel as if I, was the problem.“

“I just went and got an extra large scoop of Mississippi mud and I absolutely enjoyed it and my experience was even better because of Izzy she was an incredible and happy and joyful employee every time she works, I will be in there keep up the good work, Whiteys fam! Izzy is also very clean“

“I arrived at Whitey’s Ice Cream with rather modest expectations, and I am forced to admit that the offerings were… tolerable. The flavors were competent, if unremarkable, and the service, while not offensive, suggested an enthusiasm I found almost excessive.
The establishment’s charm is quaint, though one cannot help but notice its decidedly provincial nature. I shall not rush to return, yet I concede that those in want of ice cream might find it adequate.“

“Okay I feel like I should’ve just copied and pasted my other whiteys reviews here. There are so many whiteys locations in the QC to choose from but the wonderful thing is, quality is consistent. It is a local gem to us and we love it! The best thing about this east moline location is this one has a drive thru.
If you don’t know what to get, try a turtle malt!“

“The best place to get ice cream in the QC amazing ice cream. Better than Dairy Queen by a long shot. Get the chocolate fudge brownie shake it is so good. They are not to expensive and they have an outdoor seating area. They do have a small bathroom in the bac on that is kind of dirty with a lot of locks on it. But overall Whitey's is the best ice cream place in the Midwest.“

“What a can I say, this ice cream parlor always brings a smile to my face when we go up to the Quad cities. The almond joy is my favorite flavor. Unfortunately, they don’t pre-make the pint but they can pack for you at the double the cost. But I get it. It’s worth it. Really delicious.“

“The ice cream is amazing. The place is a gem, but I can no longer go there anymore because I cannot get my favorite candy. They don’t want to sell me the cherry the orange or the blue raspberries out of the sour taffy bulk, they want me to BUY ALL THE YELLO W AND GREEN TAFFY before I can buy any other flavors? I can’t purchase any other colors until I buy all the yellow and green? Literally they will not bring out another bag until I purchase every yellow or green one there! I feel singled out! 🤣“

“Crumbl has some of the most creative and tasty cookies around. I love trying the rotating flavors each week, there’s always something new to enjoy. The cookies are soft and fresh, and the presentation is always on point. My only complaint is that they can be a bit pricey, and sometimes the cookies are a little too sweet for my taste. Still, it’s a great treat and worth stopping by when you want a fun dessert.“

“I love Culver's Concrete Mixers especially the Heath Bat mixer. I received a free coupon for Culver's Cheese Curds. Thought would try them. Honestly there's nothing to wright home about. I love cheese curds but these are not so great personally I wouldn't bother unless you're willing to dip them in a lot a lot of sauce.“
