“They were running a special on the Hog Skillet the morning we came in. Apparently, they were using a special pork tenderloin for it so we both decided to order it. The food came out quickly but the sliced, breaded pork tenderloin was so hard and rubbery that neither of us could stomach it. My friend let the server know and she apologized profusely before taking the dishes away and bringing out new ones, STAT. The second Hog Skillet was so much better. The pork tenderloin was nice and moist inside and crispy on the outside. Just the way it should be! The server said that they went back to the original recipe for the re-make. The bad batch was frozen, I guess. This is a lesson not to cut corners! It's awful that the first dish was not up to standards but the staff all addressed the situation very professionally.“

“I live in Bettendorf so I don’t get over to Rock Island very often. This place was recommend to me by C & J Upholstery to wait for my car. Since it was breakfast time I ordered the Philly Steak Omelette with wheat toast and fresh fruit. The serving size was very generous and all the food was delicious!! Five different Fresh Fruits, good wheat toast and the omelette was delicious and huge! It took me 45 minutes to eat all of it. I also had coffee and it was perfect for my taste. My service was excellent and timely. All the staff was friendly and helpful; especially Maddie and Nick who were my servers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this establishment and will probably bring my wife with me soon even though we live across the river a little ways from here.“

“The husband and I love coming here for a date. The food is SOO good, the variety of ciders/beers on tap are amazing and the staff are always pleasant. The menu has slight changes here and there..They had a Mahn Mi at one time, delicious but the next time we went it was replaced with the steak sandwich but that was eye rolling amazing...lol. They have a patio outside with extra seating and a Corn Hole section and Ping Pong tables. Brought the kids for lunch one day, they enjoyed that. Will always be first choice for a night out.“

“When we were driving through Iowa, we were told we had to have a maid-rite. So we did, this restaurant was in a convenient location for us. We loved the doner atmosphere, and we were surprised they have a lot of different choices. We ordered the Cheese-Rite and the Maid-rite chili shoe. The order came out quick, hot, and tasted good. Next time, I will need to try an appetizer and a shake cause they looked good.“

“We were out on the Channel Cat Water Taxi and stopped in the Village of East Davenport. After walking around the village shops we found Brew. What a great pub and place to grab a bite. The food was simply fantastic and our waitress was helpful at guiding us through their several selections of brew. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Prices seemed reasonable and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back in the future.

Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I spent more time waiting for my beer than being able to sit down and enjoy my time. 10+ minute wait for a beer with only 5 People around the bar is pretty ridiculous. “It is a good sized dining area. Basic tables. Comfortable to eat. I thought the food was "VERY GOOD". I had the three taco dinner. Two steak, one chicken. With sides of rice and beans. Server Julian did a great job in providing hreat service!!
