“I first tried this place when its first open the food was better. My family and I order trays of chicken fingers with their amazing sauce and fries. Until last year I ordered the chicken sandwich combo and my niece ordered chicken fingers combo we realized the taste of their food change from chicken to the sauce and fries. Its too peppery not like before perfect seasoning. I told her this was not their food before. I said I'm not going back again. Then my child and I was hungry after her game it was late around 11p. So my kid wanted to eat chicken sandwich and want to go to Cane's. We ordered the chicken sandwich combo and I order the tenders combo, still same taste very peppery. I was planning to buy a take home tray of fingers but changed my mind. I hope they put their true recipe back like before. Their sauce is too much ketchup and pepper, chicken is very seasoned with pepper and the fries is too salty. This restaurant was good before now very disappointing. But atleast the ice tea is still good but it was better before. I guess it's just because they were newly open that time the recipe was good. I'd hope they kept it like just before.“

“Being from the suburbs traveling downtown can be an experience. This particular experience made our day. Moving our daughter into DePaul we came upon the owner of Red Light chicken who gave us a few pointers in parking near his establishment, after taking the time to help us find a spot he happily welcomed us with a free chicken sandwich which I’m happy to report was delicious. It was nice meeting you tonight and I’ll be certainly stopping by again - Fries are a game changer to!!!“

“This is me and my partner's favorite Korean Fried Chicken spot. We've once ordered from here 6 times in a span of two months. The original soy garlic chicken is my favorite, but the curry and snow onion are delicious as well. Sometimes, we order the cheese curds which is also super yummy. And I appreciate the free radish that the chicken comes with when we dine in.

This place is a staple for us and is miles better than Bonchon.“

“Great atomosphere cool concept like how they call out the alcohol and food orders when Ready. The pimento Mac was great flavor, as was the mashed and gravy. Very unique to have boneless breast thighs wing and leg portions battered and fried. Was very good. I just think the sauces were way to pricey at $1.45 a sauce wow even 99 cents seems a lot but would feel better lol. At least give one with the order or reduce the sauce price. But overall they need to spread this concept into more areas for sure out side like in the suburbs“

“Just amazing!! I’m truly fascinated by the flavor and the taste of chicken. It’s really top-notch. It is so much better than the competitive chains because they serve you a chicken that is really good quality in with tremendous amount of seasoning. I highly recommend going with the mild and trying all the sauces, hands-down the coop sauce is my favorite. The fries are totally different game. How do you recommend it! “We tried Byrd’s Hot Chicken in Skokie and it was absolutely worth it! We ordered the Byrd Bomb (crispy tenders with cheese, slaw, 24 karat sauce, pickles on bread and hot toast) and it was packed with flavor. The hot chicken sandwich was juicy and had the perfect kick, while the crispy Byrd wrap was a great twist with amazing crunch. We also got a full order of wings, and they were cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside.
The drinks selection is solid (Pepsi products) and paired perfectly with the heat. Service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the place had plenty of space with lots of parking available.
If you’re looking for delicious hot halal chicken with great portions and excellent service, this is the spot. Definitely coming back! Also they are on uber eats and open super late“

“The best Korean food in Chicago, everything was so good, the Fry chicken was crunchy and the flavor was WOW, everything that we ate was really good, the quality also was A+ we order kimchi fry rice, fry chicken, some cold noddles, I can chose a favorite because everything was good, this is a place a must to try, the lady at the register was amazing she gave us some Choco pies, my kids were very happy… thank you for the great food and excellent customer service.“

The Spicy Garlic Soy Sauce was deliciously spicy! The Jr Chicken Sandwich was a great portion and filling I had the Hot Version (Habanero) and yes it was HOT as I HOPED FOR 🥵🔥(FINALLY AND FOR ONCE!). My son (13) had the Chicken wrap with Mild sauce (Cayenne) and he smacked the whole thing and said it was very good. We also ordered Fried Okra✅ Delicious and Fresh Never Frozen! The side of white rice fresh, soft and excellent grain quality ✅. The Slaw was Ok I would have appreciated a little more seasoning (perhaps) but I did like that it was the slaw threads very slimmed cut.
This is A GREAT HOUSE FOR REAL SPICY FOOD LOVERS! DONT ORDER THE HOT LEVEL OR HIGHER IF YOU DONT TRULY EAT SPICY FOODS, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT KIDDING AND THE HOT SAUCE IS HOT! (please don't ask for a refund if you asked for the wrong level not fair to new business and there are warnings signs letting you know that it's on you if u make a mistake, so start at the lowest level of u just don't know (bell pepper)....

I visited Chicago for about a week and tried plenty of restaurants in that time - from carts to michelin starred. I have to say that in my entire stay, the Art of Chicken takes the prize for my favorite meal.

They absolutely killed the pulled chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese (be sure to add their sauce to it)!!

While I was the only guest at the time, Mr. Christian behind the register made the effort to strike up convo and ensure that the hospitality was the icing on the cake.

“Love this place. I've been here a few times. The hot chicken sandwich, nachos, and fries are always great. This most recent visit I tried a double smashburger with smash peppers, spicy chopped cheese, and onion rings. The burger was probably the best smashburger I ever had, the beef and bun tasted really fresh, burger patties were crispy and seasoned, and the sauce went really well with it. The chopped cheese was really good, and onion rings were crispy, hot, and seasoned. Highly recommend this place. Everything I've had there is good.“

“ive never completely decimated an order of chicken like I have from bb.q chicken. im gonna be honest i blacked out. i tried the cheeseling chicken for the first time cause i had no idea how itd taste and it was surprisingly balanced and richly sweet. the chicken fell off the bone and the bones practically fell apart with it. when i woke up i was struck with Holy Visions. i was valedictorian of my class. i had 5 million in my bank account. and everyone was cheering for me and giving me full timejob offers with benefits. needless to say it was good as hell 5 starts“

Today Liz and Kody went above and beyond — from making sure food was not brought out when I was not at my table (I am a woman, by myself, and needed to use the restroom so I informed them and asked them not to bring food out if I am not there), and helping with minor mishaps even though they did not have to. They are also very patient with other customers.

“Probably the best location in the chain I've ever gone to, and I've probably gone to 50 of them around the country. The staff here are always well dressed, polite, smart and they h-u-s-t-l-e. Everything just runs well and reeks of well-organized trained people. As a result, there are no long crazy lines here, even on busy weekends. I can think of some specific locations in Georgia and Colorado that could learn a lesson or two from this owner/operator.“
