“Stopped in since most of the reviews on Google were good. Was originally planning on getting a plain cheesecake with strawberries on top, but the lady at the counter said they also had a mango cheesecake. Knowing my wife loves both cheesecake and mangoes, and considering this was supposed to be a dessert for our anniversary, I went with the mango cheesecake. The person working the front then asked if I would prefer to order one for tomorrow (since this was close to the end of their day) so it was made fresh in the morning and I wasn't getting an end of day cheesecake. The one in the case was made the morning that I bought it, so I wasn't too worried. The cheesecake did not disappoint. Was flavorful, soft, and had a great mouth-feel. I would also recommend the sugar cookies. My daughter doesn't normally (read as almost never) eat sweets, but she decided she wanted a cookie and actually ate it. Staff was nice, place was clean, and the food was good. Would definitely recommend.“

“I was parking and saw a crowd of people hovering around a storefront like they were waiting for doors to open for the Nordstrom Semi Annual Sale! Thus, I had to walk over and see what all the fuss was about. Tons of people were waiting outside in the cold for pastries. I looked at the menu on the window and noticed all the pastries are gluten free and they have a large selection of vegan options! There were so many vegan options that I bared the cold trying to make a decision. I settled on the vegan brownie. The staff were all friendly and processed orders quickly. While walking, I tasted a piece of the vegan brownie. It was simply, AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back and try other vegan pastry options.“

“Our wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL and SCRUMPTIOUS! It looked and tasted EXACTLY like I wanted it to! It was minimally decorated with a beautiful, rustic look. I just loved the buttery cake and the fluffy icing. It was rich and moist and buttery and not too sweet! Yum yum yum! We have about 12 slices in the freezer and I eat one every day. Thank you Melissa for your professionalism throughout the entire process and for your creativity. The cake was truly a highlight for everyone!“

“Me, my fiancé and our friend came here to check it out on a rainy day and super glad we did! The three workers who helped us were super chill and made it a very comfortable experience. Recently I made a large order and they forgot to put in a pastry. When i told them, they were super receptive and gave me a refund. I recommend this place a hundred times over.“

“We had the BEST time at Punky Cake yesterday. My daughters and I took the cake decorating class and had so much fun and learned so much from Ashely! Ashley has such an amazing energy and taught us all the steps and techniques needed to make a double layer 8” rainbow cake! The experience was so fun we can’t wait to go back for another class! We were able enjoy eating the cake with our family and we are pretty picky about cakes and we ALL raved about the flavor and how it wasn’t too sweet and heavy. “She did an incredible job with this 1st birthday cake and delivery was on time, everything as promised!! I could not recommend her more. Flavor of the cake and frosting was also SO GOOD. A lot of time cakes can look pretty but taste terrible. I would highly recommend her.“

“Not gonna lie, I ended up here because my husband and I needed a quick snack, and I tried to go to Choo Choo down the street, but they were packed. When I walked in, there was a long line, and that seemed promising, plus it was moving quickly. We wanted something savory, so we ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a goat cheese and pesto croissant, and a spinach quiche. They warmed up the pastries and brought them out to our table pretty quickly. I was surprised the pastries were so good. The croissants were so flakey and delightful. The spinach quiche had a lovely crust. I completely forgot to take pictures because I was in a rush and starving, but I also saw a security sign that said no camera allowed. I wish they had more savory pastry options with meat, but the ham and cheese croissant was all they had when I visited. I did see that they had sandwiches that could be ordered, so I might try that if I am ever in the area again.“

“This was my all time favorite bakery, lemon cupcakes being the absolute best. It’s still just as charming and delicious after all these years. They now have gluten free options which is fantastic, but maybe call before heading over because they were all out of the cupcakes when we went there, however, they had a huge fresh gluten free sugar cookie with frosting and sprinkles that was a wonderful treat!“

“Seriously one of the best bakeries for cakes in the city. They have a variety of flavors (biscoff is the best) and the staff is so nice. I really appreciate the variety from tart fruity fillings or rich indulgent chocolate or dolce de leche. This is not spot to miss, worth a trip.“

“Chef Cheryl is a master at her craft! You will never taste frosting this well balanced and light and fluffy and a smile in every bite! She took on a two cake order with less than a weeks notice and they were a huge hit at my sister’s wedding with almost every guest asking for seconds and demanding to know where they were from! We had the cinnamon cream cheese 12” cake and the raspberry lemon 8”! I’m ordering all my baking needs from Chef Cheryl! Please be sure that you do the same to sweeten your life!“

“DeliPan on Harlem and Schubert THIS IS THE BEST BREAD IVE EVER HAD! They got a new customer, my kids and my wife were so happy! And señora Martha was really nice and helpful. I had never tasted the Guatemalan bread and now it’s probably one of my favorite! 100/100 recommend. Also they’re taking a lot of extra precautions during all of this. I stayed in my car for a minute and they went and wiped the doors and bread cabinets, Thanks DeliPan!!“

“My son’s birthday party was reptile themed and he picked out a cake he saw on the web with a snake on top. I called around local bakeries and none quoted me as reasonably as ST did. He also wanted all choc cake and filling, which I worried would be an overload and too sweet from past experiences. The bakery was able to do it in just a few days notice and it turned out even BETTER looking than the one we provided as the idea. They took the time to put more details than the photo and the snake on top was truly a great work of art. The inside was moist and delicious, I was so pleased that they didn’t overdo the chocolate and made it rich and creamy rather than too much after a slice. Everyone had seconds and it was a hit. Hats off to the decorators who knew exactly how to make it right!“
