“I didn’t expect to find delicious Mexican food in Southern Illinois and until I tried Mi Patio, that was the situation. What a treasure this restaurant is. The atmosphere is authentic Mexican and so is the salsa, although it’s not as spicy as in Mexico (appropriate for the clientele). Prices are very reasonable and the plates are huge—good to the last bite. I tried the Enchiladas Suprema and they lived up to their name. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The plates are prepared after you order so expect a small wait while it cooks. After all, that’s what the chips and salsa are for.“

“Employees are always very friendly, and the place is clean enough for a Taco Bell. If you go anytime soon, though, beware the wait! They're a little short staffed at the moment. Last time I was there it took them nearly half an hour to make my order, but to their credit this was unusual. They've never gotten my order wrong, and I'll probably go here again.03 May 2019“

“It was our first time here. Ive been reading rave reviews of this place on a FB resteraunt review group page. I ordered the Mexican enchalada meal and Bill had two hard shell tacos and a tostada meal with chili toriados. We also had guacamole with our chips and salsa and i had a horchata. Everything was fantastic. The service was just the absolute best. We had a great conversation with our waiter. Bill stood up and started walking out after lunch and had an episode, falling to the floor incoherently, for several minutes and then I went to retrieve his wheelchair. The staff was so patient and understanding and helped him finally get into his chair and then came out and helped me again by getting him in the car. They didnt have to do that. They were so kind. We will be back again for more great food!“
