Experience Cape Girardeau's Mexican food at these fantastic spots.
“The food was good and the service was better. The server was attentive, but the food did not come to the table together. We had members of our party waiting for some time before they received their food. The food was the best Spanish food I have had in the area. However, the portions were not as large as I prefer. I will give this place another try to see if I order something else, then maybe there will be a larger portion.“
“I traveled 12 hours to this place for work reasons, visiting several restaurants, this was the one I liked, excellent service and the food, one of the best I had in the area. I dare to say that it is 100% Mexican, nothing Tex-mex, and with very affordable prices. I would definitely visit this place daily.“
“We love Abelardo's! We have eaten at a few in Omaha (where the restaurant originated), so we were really excited to see that one was coming to Cape Girardeau. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are really affordable. Their Taco Tuesday deal is great: 5 beef or chicken tacos for $6 (soft shell, hard shell, or fried). The portions are great and their condiment bar is great, as well. The restaurant has always been clean when we were there, and the staff has always been very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quick and delicious meal. We'll definitely be back for more in the future! Keep up the great work!Parking: Plenty of parking on the side and in the back.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is kid-friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is wheelchair accessible.“
“Definitely try the Fish Tacos absolutely delicious Three nice size tacos that come with a sauce the color of Thousand Island but taste much much better We used to dip our house tortilla chips which were nice, thin & crispy the way they're suppose to be.. My first visit, second time for my Niece & my brother who lives in Cape “
“Muy Bueno! The beef in the barbacoa tacos, the chile rellenos, and the horchata – not to mention they serve the best chips and salsa around – are all amazing! Gabby and her family pour their heart and soul into every dish. You're always greeted by their warm, smiling faces. This place is definitely one of my favorite go-to spots to eat in Cape Girardeau.“
“Margaritas were on point. Food has flavor. Was not disappointed with the higher spice level of my dish. Better than expected and would eat there again. Servers nailed our orders with our large party with only two very minor delays (no actual mistakes!) Instilled a lot of trustVegetarian options: Easily accommodate our vegetarians in the group with options on the menuParking: Parking was semi limited for the size of the restaurant. Unsure about street parking as I was a passenger prince all weekendKid-friendliness: Dino nuggets and chicken strips for our poor kids whose taste buds have a severe Midwest lean and lack of development.Wheelchair accessibility: Could easily accommodate and access once in the restaurant.“
“Went in on a Thursday night, by the time I left the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building. The chocolate milk shake was good and the vegetarian burrito was delicious. Prices are on par with Chipotle for a burrito. The one thing that would get me to give that 5th star is lack of salsa! With the taste of the burrito, I could only imagine what fresh house salsa could bring to the table!“
“Yum! I do believe this is our new go to Mexican restaurant in Cape. My husband had the fajitas and they easily compared with the best fajitas he’s ever had (which is his go to dish). I had the Molcajete with Verde sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. It would’ve easily been enough for two people. The server and owner were attentive and very friendly.“
