“Basic Cajun Food in a Historic Waterfront Building
We started with the Cajun Nachos, which were tortilla chips smothered with red beans, a few jalapenos and an occasional slice of kielbasa sausage. Our meals were a plate of red beans and rice, Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp Etouffee, Catfish Po’boy, a cup of Jambalaya and the Broussard’s Chicken Breast and fries. We had a good sampling of their menu! Most everything was good.
However, I would not recommend the Broussard’s Chicken Breast. It is a grilled chicken breast heavily seasoned a with house spice blend. It was overloaded with filѐ seasoning. It comes with a sauce that helped tone down the overpowering flavor of the filé powder. Stick with the blackened Chicken.
It is an attractively decorated restaurant and bar. The service is average.“

“The prices that are set by corporate are getting pretty steep. However, all of the staff works their absolute hardest to make it an enjoyable dining experience. The kitchen staff are very willing to perform accommodations and the servers are always speedy and polite.“

“Great spot! We were in town for some random errands and looking for a good dinner away from southern Illinois. Despite not dressing for the occasion, we were welcomed in and had a great experience. Chef and service with Taylor were great! Definitely a place to check out and enjoy some amazing food experiences.“

“Shogun has been in Cape the longest of all active sushi/hibachi restaurants. Great atmosphere, especially if you like the hibachi grill experience. I usually just dine in without the grill experience. Never had anything that settled bad with me. Had a lot of different sushi options and grill options.“

“When driving to Cape I always check to see if open, good place to run in and get some fish nuggets. Sometimes I come to late and everything gone, but when I can get some fish - it is always mouth watering good. No not a fancy restaurant, just a little road-stop eatery. An added bonus sometimes there is an older gentleman across the parking lot selling some cookies - well worth shelling out a few extra pennies.“

“This place is amazing!..The Catfish is delicious. The Crab Legs are great. Try the Dirty Rice!! The owner is so nice, he makes sure the all you can eat keeps coming. I would only add coleslaw to the menu for the Catfish.“
