After eating at El Sol last evening, my daughter, 3 or her sorority sisters, members of another sorority and members of a fraternity, from SEMO have spent all day vomiting and having gastric distress. Through their own investigating, they have narrowed it to the queso and/or chicken. They have called and reported it, yet management has ignored them and failed to call them back to ask any questions and get information into what they all ate. Beware!

The food is consistently great, with standout dishes like the quesabirrias, which are perfectly seasoned and cheesy, served with a delicious dipping consommé. The ceviche and dollar tacos on Tuesdays are also a hit. Other menu items include Enchiladas el Mezcal and the Vegetable Chimichanga, both well portioned, reasonably priced, and tasty. The chips are amazing, very thin and fresh. The salsa is good. The staff is absolutely amazing, extremely welcoming, kind, and down to earth. Service is outstanding, attentive, and super helpful for gluten-free needs. The restaurant has a cute layout with a welcoming atmosphere, colorful décor, and a cozy bar in the back. The music volume is always great. On a nice day, the little parking lot patio is perfect for sitting outside. It is a cute, kid-friendly spot for a casual lunch or dinner. The frozen raspberry margaritas are amazing.
