“I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. “Came in with a friend who had never had boba before. The owner(?) recommended her a flavor and offered to make her a different kind if she didn't like it. She had brown sugar, I had taro, and my wife had a caramel latte boba. All were delicious! We also got the mini pancake bites which were fantastic. The owner(?) was super nice and gave us free water as well. If it wasn't a 40 minute drive for us we would be here all the time!“

“I pick up garbage in the area, I saw Teresa on the corner waving flyers in the air as I passed by so I decided to turn my truck around and give it a try. I’m so glad I did! I come here at least twice a week, and I have come with my wife and daughters on the weekend. Teresa is so sweet and full of energy I love her. The spinach banana smoothie is amazing, the michelada refresher is so refreshing and tastes great! Also had a couple bites of my daughter’s Nutella crepe… so good! “Ummmm….these are the best churros I’ve eaten in my whole life thus far. I have them to about 8 other adults and 10 children and EVERYONE mentioned “Oh! These are really good!” Service was quick and for me got the order correct. They got it down on how a churro is suppose to taste and the texture crispy outside soft inside but not gooey like it wasn’t cooked all the way. They are utmost fantastic hot but they are just as enjoyable cool/cold. There are not many at all that can past that test. I got plain churros cause I’m not a fan of them having stuff inside BUT based on how the plain one taste I am tempted to try all the flavors!! Horchata is house made no mix but for my taste it was super super sweet:-/“

“I just love this little restaurant!! I have breakfast there at least once every time I visit family in Avondale. It’s cute, it’s clean and the staff are so friendly and inviting. The food never disappoints. Several options of eggs Benedict, French toasts, the whole lot. The omelets are huge. The staples are all just as tasty too. And the food cooks up fast. Today I had the house salmon eggs Benedict and it’s just a tasty as the first time I had it.Marlene was my waitress and she was just so kind and never let me water get below half full. “Having recently moved near the area, I finally decided to check this place out. I absolutely love trying new boba shops, and I am thrilled that this one is so close by. Great atmosphere with cute decorations and plenty of seating. There was only one worker behind the counter at the time who greeted me as soon as I walked in. She was so sweet and made my drink very quickly.

As for the boba itself… it’s great! I got a brown sugar boba milk tea which I was glad to know was non-dairy (despite my love for all things dairy, I am lactose-intolerant. Booooo). The milk tea itself was great. For a brown sugar drink, it wasn’t too sweet at all, which I liked as I usually get my drinks with less sweetness. However, the tapioca was a little hard, a result of it either sitting out for too long or being chilled. I’m sure it would’ve been a thousand percent better with the tapioca’s real chewy texture, but I suppose I can’t complain since I walked in on a slow Wednesday afternoon.

Great shop overall, and I surely will be a regular!

“This is the place you want to go for when you want to authentic Vietnamese food. We got the Grilled Lemon Grass Beef Banh Mi and man that sandwich didn't have the right to be THAT GOOD. Everything was delicious, from the the warm and crispy Baguette, to the perfect beef, the correct toppings and man the ratios were so so good!
We ended with a couple of coffees and the experience was completed perfectly.
Now the service was just the cherry on top! Everyone was nice and helpful and just wanted us to enjoy our quick bite. Anytime i'm anywhere near Chicago, i will be stopping by here for sure.“

The staff is very friendly, they have delicious refreshing protein shakes, smoothies, food, and adult beverages. We absolutely love the atmosphere and free arcade with purchase. “Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“
