Bear Island Outdoor Bar & Grill is a resort with great value, offering a unique decor and theme. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the arcade and mini golf area are enjoyable. The staff is friendly, and the proximity to Starved Rock's St. Louis Canyon is a plus. The water park is a highlight, although some guests have noted that it needs improvement and maintenance. The resort has a relaxed atmosphere, and guests of all ages seem to enjoy themselves. However, some areas need attention, such as the cleanliness of the women's lockeroom, the accuracy of the menu, and the availability of internet and cell phone signal in the rooms. With some improvements, this resort has the potential to exceed expectations.
