Premo's Drive In offers delicious ice cream, with the turtle funnel cake being a standout item. Known for having some of the best burgers and ice cream in Oak Lawn, it provides affordable prices that make it a great choice for families. The soft serve, however, tends to melt quickly. The setup of taking orders and serving food from the same window can create chaos, but the cheerful service helps maintain a pleasant atmosphere. The place holds nostalgic value, as many have enjoyed it for years, making it a neighborhood gem worth visiting for ice cream lovers. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it is a perfect spot to bring kids and create lasting memories. The parking lot does need some repaving, but the flat entrance and nearby parking spaces make it accessible.
The staff is always wonderful and super efficient with everyone's orders. They tend to get busy but the line moves by super fast outside. The crew's doing a fantastic job, no mistakes, and they're steady. The ice cream is great and prices are reasonable. Really good real ice cream softserve is a treat and they have a bunch of toppings and dips. The milk shakes are also fantastic!
