“I had decent expectations for Wus Ramen, and while it wasn’t bad, it didn’t really live up to the hype for me. The ramen was good and definitely enjoyable, but nothing stood out enough to make me want to come back over some of the other ramen spots in the area. The flavors were solid, but I was expecting something more memorable.

The service was alright—nothing particularly wrong, but it also wasn’t very attentive or welcoming. Overall, the experience felt average. It’s worth trying if you’re in the area and want a bowl of ramen, but based on all the great reviews I’d heard, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.“

“Really good ramen here! It's a small place and always busy, which says a lot about the food. The staff work very fast, although they aren't the friendliest, probably because they're always busy. The biggest downside is the wait. There isn't a waiting area, and customers have to stand outside in the hot weather. It would be much better if they had a waiting list or a call/text notification system so customers wouldn't have to wait outside. Despite that, the ramen is delicious, and I'd definitely come back.“

“Ordered the spicy tonkotsu and matcha mochi. Spice level was good and broth was flavorful. I dined in around 9pm on a Saturday night, and sat in the back dining area. The music was kind of loud which I guess makes sense for a Saturday night but was expecting a quieter vibe.“

“Stopped in today for lunch, had a sushi roll and the Kinya Ramen Bowl. Both were excellent, would definitely recommend. Was a bit confused on the exterior as this restaurant is also still operating as a Hook and Reel seafood. Excited to not have to go to the city for good ramen!“

“You need to get to here! 🍜 This #hiddengem recently made Infatuation Chicagos list of best ramen places in the city and they’re the only ramen spot staying open until 1:30am! Yes, you can still eat good, late. The Japanese food here is to be enjoyed in their izakaya vibes, which are casual pubs that you can grab lots of small dishes to sample. Honorable mention to the Chicken Curry Ramen and Taiyaki with ice cream - my two favorite items from my visit! I also had a really good Mai Tai and lychee martini. Go check them out for some good food and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!“

“Love #Aodake Ramen place for comfort and delicious food. Ambience is super cool whether it's inside or out. Been there multiple times and can't stop going. Kids friendly menu , they accommodate your request to the taste you like. Clean ingredients. Owner @Lan is super nice and immediate responsive. I would highly recommend Ramen place.“

“GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS with a SMILE right here 🎯 They were very aware of allergies and even took my rice noodles to the back where the water wasn’t cross contaminated! I love places are that aware and knowledgeable! Everyone was good looking and happy. The chicken had amazing flavor! Yum yum!“
