“The four of us had a great time at this local gem. We had curry with rice, drunken noodles, and two orders of “chef’s gone crazy”—the chef cooked whatever he wanted for us and they were both pleasant surprises! Everything was delicious, and I have to say that their 3/5 spice level is a pretty solid 3/5. You could definitely taste the spiciness, but it wasn’t the main star of the show. If you like your food spicy, I’d say even go higher.“

“I picked up 2 orders of fresh spring rolls today that I was craving and they were delicious and the best I’ve ever had so wanted to leave a review. The sauce they served it with was also delicious and different than I’ve had elsewhere. I also appreciated that the sauce was gluten free, as most places it is not. I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes.“

“We had a great experience at Penny’s Oak Park. I ordered their version of pho with beef, and it was really good. For my daughter, I got the fried rice and egg noodles from the kids menu, and those were okay. What really stood out was the service. Our waitress was super friendly, attentive, and especially good with my daughter, which made the experience even better. The location is convenient, the space was clean, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming. I’d definitely come back.“

“I have recently transitioned to a vegan diet. I find most dishes a bit plain because I’m still used to regular food.

Thankfully, the vegetable noodles there are very tasty, regardless of being vegan.

The vegan dumplings are pretty unique too, with that cool mix of tofu and ginger. 🙏🏼“

“This place was so cute and the food was amazing! We got the chicken satay, Thai fried chicken, crispy basil pork belly and crab fried rice. My favorite was the crispy basil pork belly! It was incredible and flavorful.

I also appreciated the cute decor. It was very charming inside and felt cozy.“

“My husband and I stopped into NoodleBird while visiting Logan Square, and we’re so glad we did. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious. The Pork & Ginger Dumplings, Charcoal Chicken, and Ginger Lemon & Turmeric Soda were all standouts and definitely worth ordering. I also loved the thoughtful detail of the owner’s grandparents’ photos on the bathroom doors. It was such a sweet, personal touch. We’re already looking forward to eating here again the next time we’re in Chicago.“

“Portion sizes were larger than expected, and the crab rangoons are pretty good! I feel the pad thai noodles are lacking in flavor and sauce. I added more fish sauce and lime juice at home and it went from sad to decent but I'm not sure I'll order that again.“
