“I’ve been to plenty of local coffee shops around Chicago and Sputnik is the absolute best. I stumbled upon this hidden gem a few years ago on my commute to work when they were on 51st. It’s been my almost daily stop since then. I’ve switched jobs a few months ago and a Sputnik pit stop adds an extra 20 min to my commute but it’s absolutely worth it.
I highly recommend a hot oat milk vanilla latte but anything you order will be amazing. They roast their own coffee, make their own flavored syrups, and they’ve done both right. The fresh pastries and growing food options have made Sputnik the best all around coffee shop. If you’re a coffee lover, DO NOT sleep on Sputnik.“

“I absolutely love this place. I get the steak sandwich with tomato onions cheese pickles and mayo. I also add lettuce. The orange sauce is so good with it as well. The bread is that perfect texture that is soft inside and kinda crispy on the outside, they toast it a little. All there food is good, I'm just obsessed with the steak sandwich. I order from Uber eats but in person they have more menu options.“

“Petite Vie was a total "find"! While looking on OpenTable for a dinner spot on Friday, I stumbled across a French restaurant that I didn't know existed. I mentioned it to a few friends and that Sunday we went to Western Springs to check it out. The place is bright, cheery and inviting. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Patrick; bartender, manager, entertainer! The cocktails were creative and awesome, the food (especially the Pork Chasseur) was outstanding and the entire staff was welcoming and helpful. I feel like French food is slowly disappearing from our area, and to find this wonderful place was really fortunate. Please do yourself a favor, book a table and enjoy Petite Vie!“

“I had brunch here today with a friend, first time here. I had the corned beef benedict and not only was it the best corned beef I've ever had in my life, but the orange juice was amazing, the service was great, and the value was fabulous also! Will definitely be back and plan to possibly go once a week with friends! 10 out of 10 recommend!“

“Our family absolutely loves Bb's donuts! We do miss being able to go inside the donut shop. So many wonderful memories taking our little girl there to eat donuts and read a book or two. We have a little boy with Autism and it's not safe for him to sit in front by the busy street because he runs. Wish we could go inside to enjoy donuts & coffee knowing it's something our son would truly enjoy.“

“Gluten free choices which were great! I enjoyed the mixed berry French toast. There was 3 pcs of French toast topped with fresh fruit, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Coffee was hot and served in a pitcher at the table. Very cheery place with good vibes. Comfortable. Everyone was pleasant and greeted me.

“Their waffles and crepes are amazing—each portion is big enough for two people. The only thing I’d complain about is the drinks. The coffee tastes a bit off, and they only serve tea bags. I truly believe that if they improved their beverages, this place could easily become our favorite dessert spot in Chicago. That said, the staff are incredibly helpful. When I mentioned I didn’t like my coffee, they kindly offered me another drink for free and even tried to customize it to my taste. It didn’t quite fix the coffee, but I still left with a smile. Thank you for your kindness, guys“

“I honestly thought this place was a coffee shop....but I guess in a way it really is. But it's a cozy mini casino. The vibe is really comfortable....and it's unique. The have cheap drinks....and free coffee, tea, and snacks. It's a must go.“
“I thought this was a very unique and fun place where you can have a great time playing the Gambling Slots/games, and I really enjoyed the Bagel Dog I ate here too ? yummy! I am definitely going to give Gail ~Gale( I HOPE I GOT YOUR NAME SPELT RIGHT, THIS IS JOY I HOPE YOU REMEMBER ME NOW THAT I SAID MY NAME ♡!) she is the employee who was working on the night of my first time in this nice place. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU COME HERE AND CHECK IT OUT AND LET YOUR FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT IT AND YOUR FAMILY TO. “To be completely honest, I thought this was a little coffee shop based on how it looked. I was working in the area and stopped by since I normally avoid big chain coffee shops like Starbucks. Little did I know, it ended up being a little gaming place haha.Nevertheless, the employee was extremely accommodating and served me coffee on the house. I felt bad for not playing, so I insisted that I'd pay for a small pizza at least. I was the only one in the morning until 3 people came in to play around 9am. Thankfully none of the slots were loud enough to be distracting and the music/lounge area was more than sufficient to sit down and get some work done. Interesting concept but everything is pretty affordable including beer so I may come back again. Only downside was that a lot of the food menu items were not available.“

“I can't begin to explain how delicious everything was! For starters, I don't ever eat crab cakes but I tried them and they were DELISH! Next, I had the rolls. They were so good I didn't want to share! LOL! I had the salad with the balsamic vinegarette and it was so fresh and delish! For the main course, I had the Chicken Alfredo and it was FIRE!!!!! LOVED IT! Finally, I had the warm brownie dessert with Gelato and OMG it was soooo good!!! I honestly loved everything about this place from meeting Yvette (Owner and Executive Chef) to the ambiance and the food! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Can't wait to go back and take all of my friends!“

We were visiting some friends here all the way from Georgia. We wish we had one of these in the south.
The food was delicious! We came twice during our visit. The servers were great and they would check on us often. The manager was super friendly.
All the food, drinks, and dessert that we ordered always tasted delicious!

“Visiting from Ohio. We have great coffee shops in our home town so we are rather picky. Upon entry I got a cinnamon smell, not of coffee. My husband ordered ‘la toxica’ and he said it was made with authentic horchata. I had the mazapan latte and it was so good.l was pleasantly impressed that it was not overly sweet but had the rich peanut flavor. Glad to have found this place close to our lodging!“

Some tables have small games on them to play while you socialize. I look forward to returning for a milk tea and other treats.“
