“My family utilized Southland to cater my wedding rehearsal dinner. Due to Covid-19, no restaurants were accepting our party of 20 into any indoor or outdoor seated areas. ? But I am glad because Southland did NOT disappoint! The food was incredible! We ordered jerk chicken, lemon broiled chicken, and Italian sausage and peppers. We paired our meats with their rolls, glazed carrots, and roasted potatoes! Everything was seasoned well, juicy, and tasted incredible. We literally had no leftovers ??. Pricing was super affordable and food was nice and hot at arrival. Would absolutely recommend for rehearsal dinner, parties, large family gatherings, etc. Thank you so much Nick, for coming to our rescue!! Nick was so friendly, professional, and incredible to work with throughout this process.“

“I had a catered event on October 2nd. The food was excellent!! Especially the Italian beef and Mac and cheese. Went to drop off stuff snd decided to have lunch since we were there. The Reuben was to die for!! As was the beef sandwich. We also loved the fries. Thank you Jim for making the food for our 30th anniversary party . I would highly recommend using them for all of your catering needs. And if you are in Thorton, pick up lunch. You won’t regret it.“

“I had the BEST experience with Honey's Chicken! I had to place a large order for catfish fillets for my wedding, and the owner actually came out to assist me with the order. He and his staff were very nice and accommodating. Not only were they nice, but the fish was AMAZING! I had to scramble to make sure my husband and I had fish. I'm truly grateful for the service. “Very friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food was delicious 1/2 Henny chicken, green beans & potatoes, and macaroni & cheese) and seasoned perfectly, except for the bed of rice that the 1/2 Henny chicken was served on. I will return, but I'll ask for extra Henny sauce on the chicken. I am particular about macaroni & cheese, and this was perfect. Black-owned establishment as well.“

“I was at the spot next door on the 9. I was inquiring about the food next door. A lady made a few recommendations. I went with the jerk chicken wings! Omg these were some of the best jerk wings I’ve ever had in my life! Whewww they were fresh, hot , well seasoned and cooked with lots of love along with the presentation. I went back to tell the owner but he had stepped away. I hope you open multiple locations and all the success to you! Yummy!!!“

“I am recommending the restaurant based on past experiences at previous location. Even though the service was slow, the food was delicious and the man who served us had a great attitude. However, this new location is closer to my house and I would be a frequent customer if they would ever answer the phone. I called both numbers on this page. One is out of service the other never gets answered. I want to see this restaurant succeed. It is Black owned and I want to support it. Please update your number on Facebook to the correct number that will get answered. Until I am able to call to place an order, I will place my order at Daisy's Cafe 2 in Hazel Crest. It's a longer drive, but They always answer their phone.“

“I ordered for pickup. The place inside was clean. I had the chile relleno taco, it was good just thought it would be a whole chile like “el milagro”. Guacamole was delish and my husband said his asada tacos were great too! Told him it has a drive thru and he said “found our new spot!”“

“Looking for a fun place to take my staff for lunch. Decided to try Wilma’s bbq (former tilted kilt space) It was really good……as with any bbq place it’s all about the sauce. We ordered a couple of lunch specials (tips & wings) ad a seafood platter (shrimp & perch)
Everything came with fries, slaw and our server Ashley brought tons of ketchup & sauce. Highly recommend“
