The first time we stopped in they were out of almost everything except sausage. Not a great first impression and we left to find something else to eat.I was determined to get some barbecue though so we tried again. On the second visit we shared the Judge's Sampler. The chicken had a nice sweet sauce. Pulled pork was nicely cooked with a good bark. She loved the brisket, I liked it okay. The ribs were meaty and had a fantastic bark. I loved them but she wasn't as impressed because of a piece of gristle. Picky. The tater salad was pretty good and the collard greens were delicious and perfectly seasoned. They even made me homesick for the south. The cornbread was bland but perfectly baked. The place is bright and open and everyone is friendly. The tables were sticky though and she found some silverware that was still greasy. Some of the food was hot and some of it was cold, like it wasn't all cooked at the same time.Five stars for the meats, six stars for the ribs. Ten stars for the greens. Minus points for the sticky tables and dirty silverware. Another minus for not having any hot sauce on the tables. What kind of self-respecting BBQ joint doesn't have Crystal or Tabasco on the tables? A great one has both, plus a bottle of pepper sauce.

Got there at 5:15 on a Saturday the place was empty. They were out of pulled pork and beef brisket already. That poor planing. Ordered the pastrami sandwich and it was very fatty not good. Previous visit there I had the brisket and it was very dry and hard. I will not be going back.

We ordered take out from City Barbecue and I have to say I was underwhelmed by it. The meat seemed underseasoned and the fat wasn't fully rendered on the brisket. The sides were solid, but for barbecue you want the meat to be the star. I'd be willing to try them again for dine in to see if that improved the quality of the food, but I wouldn't order them for take out again.

The brisket was dry and I feel like the smoke smell is pumped through the restaurant because my clothes were very smoky, but the meat was not.

Quite possibly the worst BBQ place I’ve ever been to. Spent over $100 & was expecting something good..what I received was poorly seasoned food(food had either no flavor or very salty), overly sugary desserts & missing items. The pulled chicken had some kind of white sauce on it..which they don’t let you know in the description. Cornbread was hard probably a few days old, chicken wings were dry & chewy, tenders had no flavor & chewy, Mac & cheese no flavor, the beans with brisket had 4 small pieces of meat in it, they forgot to make sure my fries were with my order but I did get the cheese & bacon bits in the bag, green beans very salty, pulled pork had no flavor…used my own sauce cause the sauce they provided had no flavor. The desserts were just awful…peach cobbler was a sugary mess and somehow they messed up banana pudding which is the easiest thing a person with no cooking experience can make better than what I received. Won’t be returning to this establishment.I’d highly recommend skipping this place if you’re a true connoisseur of BBQ.

Disappointing. Two brisket sandwiches and 2 sides. Brisket had fat on it and pieces to think and a little tough. Mac and Cheese was dry and had no flavor. Green beans especially mushy and no bacon in there. It looked like a hunk of brisket. Was considering suggesting City BBQ for retirement luncheon but definitely not.

Ordered carry out on Friday. We ordered a pound of each of the proteins… except the turkey. We were quite disappointed across the board. Very little flavor and the BBQ sauces didn’t even help. The sausage was the closest to acceptable. The fries were down right in-edible. Soggy and under cooked. Don’t expect to go back.
