“I just stopped in for lunch carryout, and I am beyond impressed. I picked up a chicken tikka masala rice bowl with a side of chicken samosas and sat down to eat -- the meal became the highlight of my work day.
The rice bowl came with more than enough food to bring some of it home to the family. I didn't offer any inputs on spice level or anything, and it came out with an excellent combination of proper heat and flavor; love was found in every spoon, and I can't wait to try more from their menu. The samosas are deliciously savory and have a nice crisp to them, and come with a sweet sauce that pairs very well. Their prices surprised me! ~$16 for enough food for two people!
I'm very happy, and will be coming back!“

“I chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, highly rated, and within our budget. When we arrived (party of 3), the sign said “Open,” but there was no music - just an Indian drama playing quietly on the TV behind the bar. Three people stood at the counter, but it wasn’t clear if they were staff or customers. No one greeted us. The space felt cluttered and bare at the same time: six empty tables with lightly used tablecloths, a tall table with a silverware caddy and a pile of untidy napkins, and a bar strewn with boxes, papers, and menus. We stood awkwardly until I picked up what I hoped was a menu for my party to review while we waited. Eventually, two people left, and the remaining man asked, “How many?” and motioned for us to sit. He brought over two more menus and three lukewarm waters—two lightly carbonated, one tap. No other customers arrived during our visit.
We ordered chai, palak paneer, lamb curry, garlic naan, and tandoori chicken. Given the minimal service and odd atmosphere, we weren’t sure what to expect. But when the food arrived - brought out by a woman who materialized from the back and the same gentleman who had seated us - we were immediately impressed by the presentation. Plates and silverware seemed like an afterthought, as both servers retrieved them from different areas after the food was already on the table. Still, the food blew us away: rich flavors and generous portions. It may have been the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I had to ask for more water, but the attendant returned promptly with a pitcher. I thought they had forgotten my chai, but it was served after we finished eating. Then came the surprise ending: the man returned to ask for my name and number, explaining they’d send a payment link later.
If the space had more intentional ambiance — some background music, clearer service, a tidier setup—it would’ve been an easy 5-star experience. Nevertheless, I’d still highly recommend this restaurant for the food alone. It's a hidden gem in need of polish.“

“Tucked away from the main street in Devon is this humble place for some fantastic North Indian cuisine. Great authentic taste !!Had both the tandoori chicken and the chicken along with garlic naan and plain parathas and everything was delicious - Everything served hot and fresh. The tandoori chicken is made after ordering so will take approx 30 mins to be served but it’s worth the wait. The only thing that stuck out as an anomaly is the chicken looks more reddish than regular meat. It could be likely due to the red chilly spice used or maybe a little bit of food coloring ( not sure ).
This not a fine dine but a regular walk in restaurant with limited seating so pls set expectations accordingly. If you are a lover of Indian cuisine, highly recommend checking this out.“

“Always has been and always will be the best Indian food in the city. Chicken Korma is to die for. The chicken is sooo tender and the sauce is creamy and delicious. Would always recommend dining in over delivery- prices are much cheaper and the service is fast“
“The Thrupthi Foods Store - snacks side restaurant (back of the store) makes so mouthwatering Tandoori! This is our all time favorite and best item for weekend. Chicken Puff and Veg puff are so fresh and delicious . Also, I love the Alu tiki .It is so delicious and yum.
It is rare to have fresh and healthy Indian food in Chicago , fortunately you can find here . It is my number one to-go place to grab a mouthwatering snack and go. Even the biriyanis are really good. Overall food is much better than nearby Indian restaurants.“

“We were looking for a place to dine-in around the area. This place caught my eye! We are glad we ended up going here! Large variety of Indian themed pizzas! Loved them all! The beverage menu was great too! They got a Mexican ice-cream place over there too! Huge quantity and top customer service was served! We plan to visit back if we are in the area!“

“I’m so glad my friend recommended Zaika! The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, authentic, and full of rich flavors. Their dal has a comforting, homely taste, and the thin chapatis are just perfect. The lamb and goat curry were both outstanding—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the prices are surprisingly low for the quality and quantity of food they serve. It’s rare to find such authentic Indian cuisine at such an affordable price. Highly recommend!!!“

“This is an amazing establishment in the Chicagoland area, and in my opinion the most authentic place to try delicious Pakistani food. My favorite was the biryani but it’s a hard choice between the other amazing dishes. It’s a must try restaurant and a great experience for group outings. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating with our specific requests. Overall great food and service, will definitely go again!“

1. Chicken Korma
2. Garlic Naan
3. Gobi Manchurian
Butter Chicken is pretty good too, as well as their Tikka Masala“

“We have been to this location many times, but last night was a terrible experience. We went to celebrate our 24th anniversary. The staff at the host stand was disengaged and unfriendly. We had to ask 4 times for a table & were never asked for a name for a waitlist. Finally we made a quick reservation & went back to the host stand at the time of our reservation & were still told that no tables were available. Then we located a table at the bar, but it was filthy & no staff came to clean it. A random bar staffer offered us a table on the patio, which we had been asking for since the beginning. Again, no customer service from the host or hostesses at all. Once seated, our waitress took our order. But we waited a very very long time for our appetizers, drank our wine, then waited about 45 minutes to pay the bill. Worst experience of costumer service we've ever had at this location.“

“🔥🔥I don't know why this restaurant has below 4 stars.🔥🔥
Their food was delicious and it is authentic. I had two full plates of each item on the menu and it was all delicious. The different chicken currys, nann bread, deserts etc. we're all great. A dinner buffet of authentic Indian food for $16.99 is a great deal and well worth it!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION! 💯“
“Authentic taste, great portioning, clean, and simple. I had tasted such good Desi food only back home on grand occasions like weddings etc. This guy is simply magical. I tried Tala gosht, allo Qeema, and Aaloo Palak.... everything was awesome. And he has a good list of vegi choices too. Definitely going back.“

“Cute sit down South Indian vegetarian restaurant along Dempster Street. We shared the South Indian Combo with masala dosa, ghee upma, vada, and idli served with sambar and chutneys. One of best dosas I’ve ever had. The gulab jamun dessert was hot, fresh, and sweet. Highly recommend and looking forward to exploring more of the large food menu.“

“Great Experience!!!! Decent sized portions at a decent price and the staff was very respectful and friendly!!!! I will definitely put it on my agenda to go back even if I have to make special 2 hour trips from my house a couple times per year for that experience!!!! For many years in the early 1990’s I worked at Moti Mahal on Belmont for the Sikand family and while I have never found any Restaurants Chicken Makani as good as ours was when cooked by Chef Nano but Trilokah put a different spin on their version with a sauce probably not as sweet but while watching ones sugar that is good and this version had so much meat and I Loved That in an era currently where many restaurants try to cheat you on meat and add extra vegetables - I actually got a dish better than what I had hoped for! Just Awesome!!!!“

“Stopped by Delhi Darbar Kabab House for dinner and dropped about $25. Went with the Chicken Boti and a side of garlic naan. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor—perfectly charred on the outside, tender on the inside. Naan was soft and pillowy, just the way I like it. The vibe is low‑key but welcoming, and the staff made me feel right at home. If you're in the mood for authentic Indian and Pakistani eats, this spot's a must.“

“Really good chicken tikka masala, I asked for naan, he said they didn't have it but they had roti??? I think that's the name. I said ok sure.
It is thinner than naan but really good. Great customer service. There is no dine in at all, only take out. Inside is ok, not much going on.
Will come back & will remember to ask to make it spicier. I didn't know you could choose the level of spicy.“

“Tried the Tava Fish Fry, Chicken 65 Biryani, and Mysore Masala Dosa. All items were quite good overall. A couple of minor points: the biryani would benefit from a saalna or gravy accompaniment, and the masala coating on the tava fish fry felt slightly thick or caked on. Otherwise, enjoyable meal.“
