“So I visited this place at least three times with a carry out order and customer service was awesome first time. Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me! They were very nice to help me and for that I’m grateful. They went above and beyond. They made sure I was taken care of. So I brought my daughter there and she agree with the great customer service. Thank you guy so much. We will see you guys soon.“

“I had brunch here today with a friend, first time here. I had the corned beef benedict and not only was it the best corned beef I've ever had in my life, but the orange juice was amazing, the service was great, and the value was fabulous also! “I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“My mom,me and my husband come here often. It's always fantastic. The waitresses r so sweet. We just love,Jamie,Lori,Michelle,kyston,Tina,Angela,. And the hostess r sweet too. We love Sam,but don't know the other ones names sorry. Food is usually on point. We love the soups too. We always get treated well. That's why we keep coming back. Wish they would be open for dinner. “I always love coming here & frequently do when I want a good hearty meal or bringing friends. We are always kindly greeted & welcomed when arriving. It smells wonderful & makes us more hungry! We are served a cup of soup (gratis) with every meal including breakfast (their soups are delicious). The staff is friendly & always accommodating. Our food is served hot in generous proportions & for the price (very reasonable compared to other restaurants of this kind), it can’t be beat. Lilianna customer service was excellent and went along with her beautiful personality . ok, my husband ordered the steak skillet you guys when I tell you I take my head off to the Cook this steak Skillet was off the chain and well put together the presentation was beautiful the taste was lovely the cook put his love and all he had until that skillet. to the cook, my husband says you are well on point. “The food was fresh and piping hot as the waitress brought it out to everyone in my 5-person party. I had the meatlovers skillet. The meats were cooked to my liking, no uncooked bacon, and the potatoes were fully cooked to perfection. The eggs were cheesy and blended together easily in my skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and hot with my meal. The wait was semi long for table/booth, but the food didn't disappoint.“

“I have only been to this restaurant once. From the outside it looks like its barely hanging on. It needs some sprucing on the outside. The interior though is classic and traditional. It has an interior that Bronzeville's Pearls Place could really use and space that Valois in Hyde Park really needs. I can also recall how good the pancakes were. I can't say much about anything else. It's been a while. My hope is that they could clean up and modernize the outside. For this they may need an infusion of cash. I believe the outside is where the business falls off a bit I mean you wouldn't even think it was open for business. Its the only place worth eating at in the whole 8th ward. The area is filled with junk food options and it's a shame. I will be back soon.“

I have a gluten intolerance and I dont miss the pancakes w the sourdough French toast option, or just plain sourdough toast. There strawberry jelly is delicious, fresh squeeze orange juice. “This is the second time I was at this particular Mr. Stack's. I ordered the Veggie eggs Benedict with the potatoe little cubes. Everything was delicious as usual. “This restaurant was kaddie corner to my Grandparents on Albany Ave. I went there when I was a boy in the 1970's...it was great back then. It says something that it is still around and still retains the Restaurant Neon sign on it. I would see that illuminated out my Gram's back window... Love it.“

“I ordered a steak Omelette eggs over easy when I say it was one of the best things that I ever tasted. I’m not lying to you. It was cooked to perfection and had great seasoning. The presentation looked delicious Whoever the cook is or chef he or she is a keeper and can cook his or her A_ _ off. You have a customer for life and I work for the University of Chicago Hospital and I will definitely pass the word around because omg ! Good Job!!!“

“My wife and I go there about once a week for breakfast. Great food and a large menu. Mexican breakfast entrees are particularly good. The servers, particularly Lupe, are excellent--attentive and efficient, even when they're crowded. Best breakfast place I've ever experienced.“

“Service was very good. Sunday was busy but to be expected. Lots of children but all pretty good. Food was ok. Tried the Santa fe frittata. Was not a real frittata. More like a round omelet with cheese on top. Not much flavor. A little better when topped with the little cups of salsa & sour cream. Veggies over cooked & bacon was nor well done as I requested. Hash browns were just shredded potatoes nothing special. Coffee hot & good. Next time will stay with German breakfast with potato pancakes.“
