Burger Restaurants near Red Bud

“My husband had surgery at noon, which means we had not eaten since the evening before and once he was discharged, we decided to go to Shelly‘s Smashburger and have burgers and fries and oh my God it was amazing.
As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the cashiers at the gas station. They were so friendly and I said I think I wanna get burgers and the guy stepped out from around the corner and he was like I’m your guy and then he made suggestions and we ended up getting The bacon and egg double and a jalapeño spicy Sriracha and both burgers were amazing. I told him my story and he introduced himself as Leonard the Cook and Tod Bless Lenard because he made my husband and I the best burgers and hot fries with the red hot Riplet seasoning shaken all over the fries.
We live in Illinois so the drive home the car had the wonderful aroma of the burgers that we had just eaten on the parking lot before we drove home.

“First off Molly deserves a raise for being nice and courteous! The lady that was on the second drive thru window was rude, she kept trying to hand me things that weren't mine, and insisted that I was wrong. Thankfully Molly was able to fix our problem. Molly you're the best!“

“Driving thru a riverside area of IL, around 9p.m. one night, we found this cute historic area. The bar on the corner was quaint and friendly.

Made for a good rest stop and visiting time, but no food is served in there after 8 p.m...so we mosey'd on out, walked down the street reading all the historic plaquards, then headed on out of town, looking for food.

Seems like a nice place for a day trip; for lunch, drinks and a stroll down memory lane.“
