“Was skeptical because of the negative reviews I read about the service and the food. But I must say I had a positive experience 😌… Got the catfish lunch Special, it was firer 🔥🙌🏽… Didn’t know what I wanted Initially, the cashier was helpful didn’t rush me or make me feel like I was holding her time. She even verified with the cook if I was ordering the right fish and helped others while I thought about what I wanted. Her name was Evelyn, customer service skills go crazy. Very pleasant and attentive to customers. Which is rare these days🤷🏽‍♀️. Best $10 I spent all week on some food 😋… so good forgot to take a picture… Glad I came in to see for

“I am still 1000% convinced that Culver's is the best fast casual burger place. Hell, even better than McDonald's, Wendy's and BK. Even though BK has gotten WAY better than before. I still haven't had the chance to eat at In N Out yet but so far nothing beats Culver's. The only one that may come a bit close to defeating the mighty Culver's is Shake Shack, but, still, Culver's is king. EVEN if they're based in Wisconsin and are assumedly Packers fans, I'll let it slide. Me being a Bears fan and all. 😎🐻“

“Captain Hook’s Fish & Chicken is so good and always hits the spot. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and just flat-out better than anywhere else. They’re always open when I need them, and the taste is consistently amazing every time. I literally drive 30 minutes just to come here, and that should tell you everything. I have a Sharks Fish & Chicken near my house and it does not compare at all. Captain Hook’s is on a whole different level.“

She is very familiar with event hosting and has a solid understanding of the wedding industry. It was a pleasure to work with Dani for her reliable communication, attention to detail, and professional coordination of vendors and reception timeline. Dani respected our floor plan design so the seating arrangement was exactly what we envisioned for our wedding. There was ample seating and space for our DJ, photo booth, dessert table and a gifts table. Our guests especially loved the food and the open bar. Overall, we were pleased with the entire server staff of The Emerald Green. If you are interested in a beautiful venue to host your next event, we recommend this!“

“They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“I really wanted to love this place because I truly appreciate supporting a family owned business, and the atmosphere had that welcoming, hometown feel. The service was friendly, and you can tell this restaurant means a lot to the people who run it. Unfortunately, the food did not match the experience. Parts of the meal were overcooked and burnt (steak and pork chops), while other items (like the pancakes) were a tad undercooked. It seemed more like an issue with kitchen execution than the quality of ingredients.

I would absolutely come back if the cooking consistency improved, because this business has great potential and the kind of charm you want to support. Hoping they can make some adjustments in the kitchen this could easily be a local favorite with the right chef.“

“Let me tell you something, I’ve been dining with Kiya’s Kitchen since we were both back in Indiana! Not only does the food taste like your mama/auntie/granny in that kitchen cooking, but it’s also that same energy you feel when you walk in! Dymica is the sweetest!! I can’t even name a favorite for you because I truly have loved everything I’ve tried from the turkey chops meal, to the fried chicken, to the pot roast, the catfish, to the egg rolls, and also what brought me to this search today: That jerk chicken fried rice she used to offer!! I’m craving it 😂. And don’t get me started on the dessert.. especially that peach cobbler omggg (and I don’t eat everyone’s peach cobbler!). I haven’t been able to stop by like I’d like as of recent with me going back to school and still working FT, but best believe I’ll be making my way that way sooner than later. “Tried BerryField Cafe for the first time. Solid breakfast spot. Prices are reasonable, the specials are CHEAP. Service was friendly and competent, and the food was good.

Frankly, I don't understand why breakfast places need to be as expensive as they are. There's no gourmet cooking going on, no gourmet recipes, and no gourmet skills necessary. Just throw the ingredients on a griddle and make sure you don't burn it.

Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. Best of all she makes us feel special because she always remembers what we like best. The owner (Roger) is a great person and always greets us with a big smile. “We had dinner here this past Tuesday evening. Our server was beyond awesome! I have a gluten allergy and I appreciate Fridays offering a gluten free bun option, my burger was cooked perfect and was delicious! I only wish I lived close as we were staying next door at the Hyatt since my kids were flying out to return to college. Definitely would recommend and will return if I’m back in the area!“
