“I went in this morning and had a great breakfast! I misunderstood an ad about them having B&G all day when it wasn't supposed to be until 10, but someone from the kitchen came up and said she'd make it for me anyway! The gravy was SO good, I ate it up quick!! Got a chai latte too and it was delicious as well. Such great customer service and just a cute place. It's near my work, so I'm going to try and go more to support them!“

Needing a coffee on a 4 hour drive to Shawnee National Forest, we stopped at Scooter’s to survive our early drive. It’s a drive-thru only coffeehouse so I strongly debated even writing a blog post for it but in my quest to visit all the coffee places, I knew I had to make the concession and experience it from the drive-thru lane and passenger seat of Emily’s car.

They had an Americano so… you can bet that’s exactly what I ordered and it did not disappoint. I love a strong bitter Americano and a lot of places err on the side of making it accessible and enjoyable. This was full on the style I like and if there was one around where I live, I would be getting my Americano drinks there instead of making my usual Dunkin’ run when I treat myself. I did try the concoction Emily tried and we both agreed that it was missing a certain something. Not that it was bad but that it just lacked that thing to make it magical.

But… the best part of Scooter’s is the opening line of this blog. When we placed our order, the person told us to ‘Go ahead and scoot on up’. Maybe it was the 4 hours of sleep I got. Maybe it’s my sometimes simple and childish-like humor. Maybe it’s just a great line. But it had me cracking up for a few minutes.

“I stopped by yesterday and had one of the best mocha lattes in my life! We also shared the shortbread cookies, French pastry, and apple cider doughnut. (We couldn't pick just one 😋) Everything was fantastic! I highly recommend Schlee’s!“

“I popped in this cute place after work hoping to get some non-alcoholic beverages for a gathering coming up. Not only were they able to do that, but they are handling my charcuterie and vegetable trays! I had some yummy peach black tea and a scrumptious piece of chocolate cake while I perused all the loose leaf teas available. Their selection is amazing! They were so helpful, kind, knowledgeable and affordable-- I'll definitely be going back! ☆☆☆☆☆“

It's a pity that I am from California and only been here once. It's my grandmother's hometown and I fell in love with this branch right away.

“The Hy-Vee Caribou is a wonderful place to go. They have the nicest people and when it comes to me using my app they are always so helpful because there are times I just totally don’t remember to use it and then I do and then I can’t figure it out. But they are always so nice about everything and so helpful. The drinks are great. I love the turtle mocha and the funny part is I’m not a coffee person, but I really enjoy that drink. For those of you who have been to the Caribou Hy-Vee in Springfield Illinois you know what a great place it is and those of you who haven’t you need to give it a try. You will not be disappointed .“

We had the nachos and jalapeño/artichoke dip. Huge portions and tasted amazing! Definitely not your average “bar food.” The service was great - offered really helpful suggestions. Within walking distance of several downtown attractions - we went after visiting the Abraham Lincoln Museum. Would love to go back!“

“This is the BEST Starbucks I have been too and I order coffee ALOT. The staff is amazing, the drinks are amazing. Like when I say amazing I don't want to order from any other Starbucks! I don't know if they are just really good at making coffee or if it's the time and care they put into it but I have yet to find a Starbucks that makes better drinks than the one in Kroger! The ladies that work there are flat out amazing! SO anyway if your trying to choose which Starbucks to go to, make the drive to the one in Taylorville they are far better than any other location I have ever been to !“

“Springfield Starbucks is absolute trash for firing Haley. This is literally the "Cracker Barrel firing Brad's Wife" gone barista. Haley is such a hard worker, passionate about her job, and even promoted your drinks on her personal page just out of dedication to her position. She was the reason I'd get Starbucks, now she's the reason I'll pass on Starbucks any day for treating their workers poorly. Haley will put her efforts elsewhere and still have her success story, and you'll be left without an impeccable manager.“
